When Charlton moved to the Mount in December 1923 they wore the Catford Southend colours of light and dark blue striped shirts to mark the first match at that new ground
I believe for the season, not just for the first match.

The blue tops over the years I have generally liked.

As a preference it would be yellow if we decided to stick with one colour for the away shirt.
I liked the all black RedBus away kit……especially with the Red graphics

87 blue Adidas Charlton wore in play off decider vs Leeds is a lovely kit - only yellow FADS early 80’s is better

Obvs red and white is the perfick football kit, as are red grounds - but most of our blue away kits I have liked

As for the purple and green 🥴

One yellow kit I had difficulty with was the yellow we had late 80’s - we wore it Arsewipe away at Highbury - 2-2 draw, with a superb individual goal by Steve McKenzie - think it was an Admiral kit - it was so Yellow it felt like it would give me a headache !!!
Paul Mortimers goal was a bit special too!!!

Ive always been a traditionalist for home kits, but liked weird and wacky away kits.  My fav away kit is the Green and White hoops with a thin red hoop.  Think we lost 4-0 at the Reebok wearing that
4-1, last game at Burnden Park. Kinsella scored a cracker for us to take the lead.

The blue Osca is one of two designs since '83 I'm still looking for, if anyone happens to have one they no longer want

Am I right in thinking there were two of the same design, one having The Woolwich running across.
That is the case for the home shirt. The blue only had the white band with The Woolwich on (85/86) and the white version was sponsorless (83/85).
And when we had the red Osca kit as a home shirt and the blue one as an away shirt, Millwall had exactly the same shirts the other way around - blue for home and red for away.

Bulk order for both gave us a discount.
