Few stats from a fan account on Twitter
Charlton’s Nathan Jones has only lost one of his seven previous managerial league games against Derby (W3 D3), falling to a 0-2 defeat with Luton in April 2021.Charlton have won four of their last seven away league games (D1 L2), beating Sheffield United 1-0 in their last.
After their 2-1 win in February 2024, Charlton could win back-to-back away league visits to Derby for the first time since December 1962 (4 in a row).
Derby have alternated between drawing (3) and losing (3) their last six home league games; they had won three in a row on home soil prior to this.Derby lost their last league meeting with Charlton 2-1 in February 2024, but haven’t lost back-to-back league games versus the Addicks since January 1984.0 -
Apologies if this has been added already. A further thought from the rams forum. Oppo fans really do have a one dimensional view of us don’t they16 -
Sounds like they are used to scoring and taking the lead, only for it to be snatched away from them...well Derby more of the same tonight will be just dandy...but don't worry about the you scoring bit eh...1

Fixed it for youForeverAddickted said:Score the first goal in the 96th minute , and am confident we'll win0 -
Let the opposition fans waffle on all they like, just like Lemmings following the leader over the cliff, they are clearly worried about us, with good reason.
Carry on you losers is what I say, we will let the players do the talking on the pitch...0 -
Saturday looked very much like playing football to me.TheHerminator said:

Good football.24 -
Derby have 6 points and are one spot above the relegation zone having conceded 13 goals in 7 games.
They will (or certainly should) be fighting for their lives. Strange as on paper they have a good manager and some decent players. We must make sure their renaissance doesn't start tonight.
Unchanged from the weekend, though I would prefer Tanto to Kelman
A narrow away win after another tough game

Agreed, we played some lovely football on Saturday. I'm glad that rival fans are still underestimating us!jose said:

Is this game sold out? Why can't we buy tickets on the door?
I'm trying to save my Tuesday evening here0 -
Or you might have seen Andy Hunt score one and Martin Pringle score one in a 0-2 win in 1999.martingreenway7 said:Saw Martin Pringle score 2 goals at Pride Park in a 2-0 Charlton quite a few years ago0 -

I'd be tempted if I was Nathan to switch it up, and would play this team -
Kaminski
Ramsey Jones Gillesphey
Bree Docherty Coventry Bell
Knibbs
Leaburn Olaofe
However, I'm not Nathan and I think we'll be unchanged, bar the forced change of Gillesphey for Edwards.

Two points from the next two matches would be an achievement, provided we beat Sheffield Wednesday afterwards.0

My god I’d love to rub it in their faces with another 3-0 win.TheHerminator said:

They sound bitter as fuck. Hopefully NJ sets us up to play just the way the Rams fans are moaning about, and we destroy them.TheHerminator said:

If that happens, do post an update from their forums. 🤣👍1 -
I think there are going to quite a few forums of other clubs moaning about how terrible we are post match as we drive off with 3 points lolcloset_addick said:

One of my favourite aspects of this season I think, is fans of each club losing their shit over Nathan Jones.36

I have to agree mate it is very amusing, however I do think they are wrong in saying he is anti football. At the weekend we played some great football and you can see the team developing in front of our eyes. Ok we dont sit back and allow other teams to play pretty football as we press and strangle the life out of them but I love that aspect of our game. But I can see that his antics etc would drive me mental if he wasnt our nutter lolForeverAddickted said:One of my favourite aspects of this season I think, is fans of each club losing their shit over Nathan Jones.7 -
I find it odd. I knew of him when he was at his other clubs such as Luton but I never had any opinion on him. Seems like every teams clubs fans has some issues with him whether it's due to his antics on the touchline or the way he sets teams up or just classic Welsh dislike. Very few managers who weren't ours have ever wound me up. Steve Evans a tad I guess but like the "special one" i just smiled at their antics.ForeverAddickted said:One of my favourite aspects of this season I think, is fans of each club losing their shit over Nathan Jones.2 -
He's eccentric, perhaps a little bit unhinged. And now that he's doing well with us, it winds up other fans.Karim_myBagheri said:

In this case, imagine being stuck with John Eustace AND being rubbish, simultaneously. No wonder!1 -
Even before he became our manager, NJ had the goodwill from the time he coached our U21s, so his "eccentricities" didn't get the reaction they would have had!Karim_myBagheri said:

Apologies in advance. We won twice while I was in Spain, and I'm back now, so we'll probably lose.
Maybe if I open a bottle of Rioja and munch on a chorizo, the football gods will think I'm still away.6 -
Was supposed to be arriving in Hanoi 2 hours before kick off, a typhoon has thrown a spanner in the works, so expect a thrilling win whilst I sit in the middle of nowhere.0
-
From previous searches i deduced that he didn't make it through the covid era. Like a lot of us, he possibly lived alone and didn't have any close friends/relatives ready, able and willing to update the forum. I would love to be proved wrong @happyvalleywolfgang said:

No, joking apart, does anyone have news of him? There's more chance of his constant prediction coming true these days.0 -
No one likes a winner in the opposition 's corner, they're just jealous that we have something they don't...0

It's so funny on Reddit especially, you'd think he was the worst manager in the EFL the way he's spoken about by opposition fans.ForeverAddickted said:One of my favourite aspects of this season I think, is fans of each club losing their shit over Nathan Jones.3 -

We don't really play dirty football and don't waste time much. I don't see much gamesmanship from us. We're also very watchable (if you support us). Supporters are just salty that their teams just can't play well against us because of our organisation and pressure7
