EFL supporter survey

The EFL have circulated their annual survey of supporter opinions. The results are fed back to the clubs.

It takes about 25 minutes to complete so your perseverance is required. The more Charlton fans who complete it the more the club must take notice.

If you are prepared to give an email address there are prizes to be won.

  • A pair of tickets to the 2026 Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final
  • A pair of tickets to the 2026 Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final
  • A pair of tickets to the 2026 Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Final
  • A pair of tickets to the 2026 EFL Trophy Final

  • These annual surveys seem so pointless and a waste of time. Yet I still did it and my word it goes on a bit. Each year they ask about regulations against who and how owners run clubs and should the EFL do anything about it. Of course they are told by nearly all they should but still they don't. And they struggle to even penalised clubs when they break the rules they have already. Sheffield Wednesday being one of the latest.

The other question that I didn't know too much about was about FVS. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_video_support

So teams have reviews like they do in cricket. Interesting and could be entertaining. However as I'm a purist I said no to any extra technology in the EFL, (goal line Tec fine). VAR is too expensive for most clubs anyway but this FVS is a cheaper alternative.

Before VAR came in I always thought it should be something more like DRS in cricket, where you have a limited number of appeals per team, and you have to actively choose to use one. FVS sounds just like that.
