Just put on the Blackburn post match thread how Smith's songs relate to us,
E.g. Nathan Jones/Steve Brown - Bigmouth Strikes Again.
Any other band's songs work this way?

During our exile ‘I knew you were waiting’ by George Michael and Aretha had a poignancy for me, #the Valley was low#.

We used to regularly play ’The Only Way is up’ over the tannoy during the mid-late nineties.

In the 70s they seemed to have spell of regularly playing ‘Mouldy old dough’ over the tannoy  every home game

    A few more Smiths ones:
    • Frankly Mr Shankley is a hommage to Charlton's greatest ever comeback, versus Huddersfield.
    • Panic relates to Charlton fans' feelings as each transfer window comes to a close.
    • Unloveable is about any of a number of past characters associated with the club: Parker, Taylor, Defoe, Bonne...
    • Nowhere Fast is about where we went under Duchatelet
    • Ask is the theme of The Supporters Trust
    • Shoplifters of the World Unite is a plea for fans to come together and break the hold that Castore once had on the club shop

That was just advertising for the in-ground food outlets

The only ‘food outlet’ inside the ground around that time that springs to mind was that old wooden shed they had halfway up on the east terrace down by the Covered End that basically sold stuff like Wagon Wheels. That and the peanut man.

Well Pop Pickers, here is the definitive and final Top20 er 26 Charlton related Smith's songs.
Are you one of the lucky Lifers to make the list?
Took up most of my Sunday re-editing and spell checking so hopefully not too many errors.
Had to get rate  my plate in somewhere, so it was a late entry.
