CAFCBill said:I thought Carey was class today. Also thought we played really well. Silly foul from Ramsey, I genuinely think in that moment he forgot he was on a yellow. We can’t get on his back though he’s been amazing for us and is a big reason why we are in this league with Millwall. Loving how competitive we are in every game this year. The wins will come, I believe!!!!
Not the same type of foul, but reminded of Mbengue for QPR, he didnt get a second booking because our player wasn't going towards goal. Well neither was the Millwall player today6 -
I still love Kayne Ramsay35

Really tough one to take, easily the better team but Ramsey cost us. Stupid second yellow and he knew it as soon as he did it.
Overall, the performance was much better than QPR. I was very much on the time for TC to be dropped side and he proved today why NJ keeps picking him. He was at it from the whistle and deserves all the plaudits today.
The question I have got is why have we signed Kelman? This isn’t a slight on Kelman, we just don’t play a style of play which suits him. He could have played for three hours and not scored today. I just don’t know what the plan with Kelman is, we looked so much more dangerous when Leaburn came on and he now deserves to start.
We have waited 29 years to built Millwall I am sure we can wait another few months and beat them at the den!

There aren’t enough goals in this team. We don’t create enough clear cut chances, yes we were the better team, but you can’t say that the Millwall keeper was particularly overworked.Idiotic from Ramsey and don’t understand going to a back 4 after the red card. Just bring Burke on and stay with 3 at the back.6

Good performance and a fair result overall. Loved our commitment from start to finish.2

TC and Sonny were superb. We deserved that win so so much, its heart wrenching.18

Jones very much saying that the Red Card was the changing point.
He's not arguing it either8 -
Push that shot to the side and we win.Basic goalkeeping error ,time for Mannion to start .12

Said at half time the ref was doing a good job of consistently pulling them up for their cynical fouls but his refusal to get his cards out meant we were guaranteed to get a yellow or red for the first bad challenge.
Ramsay will save us more points than he costs us this season but that was moronic from him. Needs to stop playing for highlight clips. Kaminski has also barely had anything to do this season and yet is building up a bit of a catalogue of stinkers and was very unconvincing today. Whole performance was generally positive with TC and Carey absolutely brilliant,Was baffled by how subdued their fans were as well, which was the reason I actually started to have a bit of hope that we’d finally do the job as it was genuinely the worst away support I’ve seen in a London derby here and out of character for them tbh.10 -

Whichever numpty put this plan together for the exit routes needs sectioning.
Embarrassment of a police force.12 -
Millwall so jammy. Didn't deserve a point from that game. Charlton comfortable before the Ramsey sending off. I hope that Ramsey learns from that.Easy to be wise after the event, I understand. I hope that Nathan Jones learns from that as well. Consider subbing off the player on a yellow card when the other team has just brought on a quick left winger to test the player on a yellow.1

Jones just finished his interview, saying that the second booking was the correct decision - that Ramsay will learn from it, he can play at the top level, but needs to not coast through games at times.5
-
Just prior to his sending off, Ramsay slid in and tackled one of their players. He seemed to think the ball had gone out for a throw and so took a couple of steps back. Ball was still in play, and he dived in.5

Two points dropped, the sending off cost us the win. We'll be alright this season though, I still think we've got a few more gears to go through.9

Taking the positives from today ...
Our five-year unbeaten run against that lot continues.18 -
I guess if Ramsay didn't have those mistakes in him he'd be playing at a higher level and we wouldn't have him10
-
Let's just look at the bigger picture, they're are 41 games to go....
I still think Nathan hasn't determined his best team and yet we still haven't seen much of Tanto, Knibbs, Costello and with Berry and Godden to return.
We all surely expected this league to be harder with fewer chances but at least against Leicester and Millwall we at least worked hard to create opportunities and other than Ramsay going losing his nut we at least got something, in years gone by the old Charlton would've thrown it away. Finally I thought Doc, Carey, TC, Coventry and Carey were excellent with Carey mom.

I wonder how Ramsay’s player mark will compare to the last time we drew…?
🤔2 -
Charlton need option of experience of Godden and Berry IMO.7

One big positive is that James Bree looked really excellent. Strong defensively and spent a surprising amount of time in their box. Apter will have to start delivering on a regular basis if he's going to keep him out, good competition to have34
