Just found out he lives up the road from me. Mate bumped into him at a beer festival. Currently waiting to see if he'll do this for me:

He's definitely not a Palace fan. Leicester. And funny you should mention Sloth... 🤣

It's take us nearly 20 years to recover from that, but were there some dodgy goings on at board room level for it to fal as quickly as we did and take this long to recover, Dowie alone wasn't the problem.

Palace must of been laughing their tits off after Dowie said to Simon Jordan, "I need to leave to go up north to spend more time with the family." Released him from his contract and then the next day he was announced Charlton manager.

As a fan based, we drove Curbishley out because we wanted to "progress", then poached Dowie from Palace; we kinda got what we deserved. I just hope we've learnt and don't ever repat this unfortunate string of events again.

We got above our station; I believe you should strive for the best you can be, but always know your place in life, we forgot ours after having so many great years in the top division.
Your 1st paragraph is just not true.

Of course he does, he got paid a massive amount for 6 months of completely inadequate work. Easiest job he ever had

Can add him to the long list of people who've 'ruined us' over the years. Although he blew our PL budget on rubbish, given how many games he had as our manager, I think blaming him for the next twenty years is a bit much. Loads of inadequate squads and crap managers since for which he can't be held responsible.

Whilst we didnt drive Curbs out, I was a season ticket holder at the time and think this rumour has taken on legs of its own. There were a substantial number of fans who seemed ok with Curbs leaving for a variety of reasons, one of which being the very fair argument he had given us so much incredible service if he wanted a change he should be affforded, i think the idea fans drove him out was there was an acceptance that the future could be better so some (and this definetly happened) thought a new face could take the next step, as it turns out it wasnt.

I also think its easy to say letting curbs leave was mistake with hindsight (and it was), but the biggest mistake was who we got to replace him, and then even more so who we got to replace the replacement.

The decision to appoint Reed as Dowie's replacement is what relegated us.

Of course Dowie was a ridiculous/childish appointment, but I don't think he would have taken us down.

Obviously Murray is to blame for the whole debacle due to his string of atrocious decisions.
