Just found out he lives up the road from me. Mate bumped into him at a beer festival. Currently waiting to see if he'll do this for me:

Surprised he could find it. Bloke can get lost in his own garden.5

Why did he write “hero” after his name?0

There's been an update. He chickened out. At least I know where he lives now though.

It's take us nearly 20 years to recover from that, but were there some dodgy goings on at board room level for it to fal as quickly as we did and take this long to recover, Dowie alone wasn't the problem.
Palace must of been laughing their tits off after Dowie said to Simon Jordan, "I need to leave to go up north to spend more time with the family." Released him from his contract and then the next day he was announced Charlton manager.

We got above our station; I believe you should strive for the best you can be, but always know your place in life, we forgot ours after having so many great years in the top division.19 -

Can add him to the long list of people who've 'ruined us' over the years. Although he blew our PL budget on rubbish, given how many games he had as our manager, I think blaming him for the next twenty years is a bit much. Loads of inadequate squads and crap managers since for which he can't be held responsible.

I also think its easy to say letting curbs leave was mistake with hindsight (and it was), but the biggest mistake was who we got to replace him, and then even more so who we got to replace the replacement.1 -

The decision to appoint Reed as Dowie's replacement is what relegated us.
Of course Dowie was a ridiculous/childish appointment, but I don't think he would have taken us down.
Obviously Murray is to blame for the whole debacle due to his string of atrocious decisions.7 -
