Anyone got any suggestions for a pint before/after the game?

As it's an early KO I'm not sure if you'll have time but if the weather is alright down by the river west of Hammersmith bridge has a couple of decent pubs.

Brook Green Hotel is decent, but in London just put your colours in your pocket. Nobody will tell a West London accent fron an SE. A QPR pub but observe above and Crown & Sceptre in a top boozer.

You also have The Queens Head on Brook Green. Expensive though, plus unsure how early they will be open.

The Thatched House was a great pub, not been for a while. A bus ride away but they are plenty down Goldhawk Road.

Unsure if The Richmond on Shepherds Bush Road is an away pub. Although even though I’ve been working around there for 30
years, I must have only been in there twice.

The last time we were there we went in the pub called the Princess Victoria, it was the pub used in the opening scenes of the Guy Ritchie film The Gentlemen. Nice big pub on the Uxbridge Road.

How likely is it these pubs local to the ground will be open earlier? Most say opening at 12

Goldhawk Road is a red light for getting in before the game.
There's a spoons on Shepherds Bush Green in the shopping centre that might let you in.
  • A few of us are going to the spoons in Hammersmith early doors.

Hopefully we will be celebrating in more salubrious establishment after the game.  COYR!!!

Soho House White City is only a 10 mins walk.

Top floor swimming pool will be decked out with Charlton flags. Speedo's only though.

Not too far from Stamford Bridge and probably the equivalent of drinking in Greenwich or Maze Hill before a game at the Valley. Chelsea v Fulham at 12.30 tomorrow also. I’ve no idea if any Chelsea fans do use it but if they do I would suspect they might get priority if they are regular customers.

Didn't know that game was on as well. Strange that the police are ok for both games to go ahead at the same time. I wonder if that had anything to do with our limited away allocation.

It’s not a limited away allocation. QPR only give the upper tier now for league games. So their own fans are behind the goal (lower tier)
