FFS, I get my hair cut every two weeks usually, I stroll down to the barber’s, get seated straight away, get given a coffee straight away, haircut and a chat and I’m on my way. Rocked up this morning and all the chairs are already filled and there’s a queue of guys sitting waiting to get their hair cut. Have I missed something, is this a special weekend where everyone needs their hair cut ?

Need a trim myself, might kick it to next Tuesday. Kids going back to school won’t help.0

Every two weeks?
I usually get mine cut every couple of months. I mean if everyone has the same idea as you, no wonder the barbers are busy.

Last Wednesday for me.
About every six seven or eight weeks the haircut, and also a hot towel wet shave to go with it, plus eyebrows nose and ears (not pubes).
Also a shoulder massage and a quick hair wash at the end.
I see it as my bit of luxury. They charge £29 for all that but I generally make it £35 with the tip.1 -
I mean it’s a bank holiday weekend - everyone needs to look fresh as lots going on. Not like it’s just a normal weekend!2

Something for the weekend sir?
Yeah a pair of knickers, you cut it like a prat3 -
Every 4 to 5 weeks for me - each January I book for the whole year ahead. Same guy has cut my hair for the last 18 years and every time he still says "so what are we doing?"17

Just relax it all falls out in the end anyway.8

‘Every couple of months’ ? You covering up a bald patch or something ?ForeverAddickted said:Every two weeks?

With all the Turkish barbers opening up everywhere, why are you queuing up? Just go to the other one. Or the other one. Or the other one.17

Every 3 to 4 months for me, although I've started doing it myself and it's not too bad.1

Many of them are surprisingly empty. I’m not sure how they make a living…SE10Addick said:With all the Turkish barbers opening up everywhere, why are you queuing up? Just go to the other one. Or the other one. Or the other one.14 -
Every 2 weeks !!!! Jesus, hair doesn't grow that quickly. Maybe have a buzz cut & you'll not need to go back for a couple of months.2

Number one down the sides and short hair definitely does grow back quickly and usually stronger. People with long unkempt hair are usually the ones that weaken it and see it fall out. I suspect in the attic of every bald guy there is a picture of him in the attic where he had long hair he didn’t get cut very often.golfaddick said:Every 2 weeks !!!! Your barber gives you a coffee?0

Probably a hint there for you Bob. The only time someone should be letting it go that long between haircuts is if they are thinking about completely changing their hairstyle. He probably thinks each time your Missus has finally sent you along with a picture for him to try and copy.bobmunro said:Every 4 to 5 weeks for me - each January I book for the whole year ahead. There was a barber in Belvedere called Boncee, (Sadly passed). On his shop was his phone number.
I would rock up, phone the number and he would appear from the pub across the road.
When he was pissed I would come out looking like Tony Curtis, if he was sober you would come out looking like a POW.7 -
Once a month for me always booked so no problem0

Is it a thing posing for pictures in attics or is it just the long haired guys that do it?letthegoodtimesroll said:

Male hair loss is predominately genetic.1 -

Used to go to a barbers in Lewisham years ago. The owner (woman) only employed young women and gave away free bottles of cheap French beer, it was always rammed 😀.Kindoncasella said:Your barber gives you a coffee?2 -
Mines always packed out, which must annoy them as I know the owner and he's dodgy AFSporadicAddick said:

I now go to the one just across from Sparrows Lane. Get coffee or water and on an odd occasion a Stella. Blinding hair cut all for less than £20Kindoncasella said:Your barber gives you a coffee?1 -

Was much easier when you could sneak in the back door during the covid days.1
