There is and has been a Bristol City thread for a while, with a City fan providing local info.

Trains depart Temple Meads at 26 & 54 minutes past the hour.
Trains depart Parson Street at 13 & 37 minutes past the hour.1 -
There’s a barge on the river on the centre of town that sells absolutely lethal proper West Country cider! I think this is it:

The spotted cow in north street seems a decent choice. The three lions on the same road looks def a home pub so will avoid that.0

Not a great deal at all if coming from Parson Street, the Three Lions on West Street is home only.
If you head over the other side of the River the Grain Barge is good. Plenty of pubs in and around harbourside in the city and not too much of a walk down to Ashton Gate.1 -
What about around BTM?0

If I am right is there a Wetherspoons on the habourside. If I recall it's quite big.0
-
My plan is to get to BTM about 10, find a cafe for breakfast and head off to parson Street. Sounds like there isn't a lot of choice for away fans at parson Street is that correct.0

If people are searching for Wetherspoons
Knights Templar is outside Bristol temple meads
VShed spoons on harbourside
there is another spoons on the way down to Ashton Gate in Bedminster, just before you get to North Street that Ashton gate is on Robert Fitzharding
Decent real Ale: Three Tuns (various) behind city hall or Grain Barge (Bristol beer factory) on City side of river on way to Ashton, Tobacco factory and Bristol beer factory micro bar will prob both be home only
Bristol has plenty of micro breweries, or good real ale pubs little Martha near temple meads is good, left handed giant brewpub in city centre is good,(it’s spacious and near castle park), or Kings Head on Victoria street (good chemistry brewing)Apple is the cider barge on Welsh beck, here city centre near queens square you’ll find plenty of big pubs llandoger trow, king street brew house , famous navy volunteer, all places with lots of beers on.1 - Sponsored links:
