Controller Murray has given agent Jack Bauer the task of covertly derailling the insugents from Russia and Nigeria who, he suspects, are preparing a hostile takeover.
While undercover in South Norwood Jack discovers that the Nigerian interest is a smoke screen for an evil despot known by the code name 'Tango Man'. While trying to discover the secret identity of the mysterious Tango Man jack tracks down and kills several people, all called Nigel, while screaming his mantra "ETCYT". Unfortunately the identity of Tango Man remains a mystery due to several red herrings and court injunctions.
Meanwhile the Russians have taken over a corner of the West stand car park claiming they are hoping to exploit the newly discovered reserves of Oil and Gas found beneath The Valley. They are actually mounting a surveillance operation on behalf of an Icelandic biscuit magnate who is trying to find out why his own take over venture is going so wrong.
Jack has just fought his way into the Russians compound using exploding boxes of Icelandic bourbon biscuits when he comes face to face with agents from the CIA. George W, having been informed by his intelligence services of the Russian Oil and Gas cover story has acted swiftly to secure the Oil and Gas reserves freedom of the West Stand car park.

Jack teams up with the CIA agent, Tory Gibbs a master of camouflage who no one had seen for years, to sabotage the Russian Oil and Gas plan little knowing the story is a fake. They succeed in infiltrating the nerve centre of the surveillance operation, which has cunningly been disguised as a lock up container in the corner of the car park, by cleverly fooling the Russians guards into leaving their posts by telling them that there is a free vodka promotion taking place at the Oak. Jack and Tory discover the Icelandic surveillance operation and tap into the communications system at Charlton Football club.

Tango man, infuriated by the loss of some of his top Nigels has sworn revenge on Jack and has been told by his inside agent Davros (AKA Liam Dowie) that Jack is, in fact, working on behalf of Controller Murray. Tango man immediately puts together a crack team of highly trained lawyers to destroy Controller Murray.
Jack and Tory are listening in to a telephone conversation between Controller Murray and Mr C. Morepierce where they are talking about Murrays secret plan to buy another football club from North London and merge them with Charlton. Jack and Tory hear a name "The Dean" being mentioned constantly and hear talk of "Dial Square" and "historical home" when they're rumbled by angry Russian guards who realised they were being duped when they discovered that the oak had been closed for refurbishment for three months.
Things look bad for Jack and Tory.................................
