Given that in league 1 it was almost impossible to get a drink at halftime…Covered end upper..what are the odds with a bigger crowd in the Championship…. What can be done to make the service faster… better… could start with drinks only queues… and line them up faster?

If you want to watch football, go to a game.
Plenty of clubs do this already.
Bottled beer is available in plastic bottles so no safety problem.
This would cut the length of queuing considerably.
We serve shit food and drink at a rip off price, plus you have to leave your seat at least 5 minutes before half time in order to be able to have time to get served and drink it. It is absolutely criminal for any business to have customers that want to spend cash and not have the infrastucture to take it off them.
I don't think it's ridiculous to suggest we could have doubled our matchday revenue last season if we'd given it the necessary thought and investment. I don't know how much the "fill from the bottom up" beer machines are that Spurs have, but I suspect they would have paid for themselves within 2 matchdays. Not at all complicated, doesn't require project managers or consultants. Surely at least one Charlton board member of the last 15 years or so has visited the Emirates or WHL at some point - why have they not returned home after that saying "that caterings good, we'll do that at Charlton in bring in a load of easy money." It's weird, I don't understand why it's such a challenge. (obviously not just us, plenty of clubs still offering rubbish product and rubbish service).
As well as a safe standing section, a singing section I think there should be a drinking section......where all those who can't go 2 hours without alcohol can sit together.
That or I just won't get up to allow the drunkards past. Funny how they all seem to sit in the middle of a row 🤔.
This system works unbelievably well at the Ally Pally for the darts.
