With it being necessary to close the Glastonbury thread for inflammatory lines of discussion is nothing sacred ?

    Just got back and was looking forward to sharing highlights etc. Thread closed, understand why the moderators felt the need to but wish the political (no matter how sensitive and important to most) stuff did not play out on a thread which came from a place associated with music, art and festival going/appreciation only.

    Can we just ban the people that are intent on derailing every thread instead? 

    Edit: or reopen it and remove those comments.

    That was my point mate. How on earth a thread about music can get derailed is ridiculous. 

    For what it’s worth my view is keep threads on subject ! However I also personally miss the HOC group which got closed due to a small number of people it would be better warning those that played up and then banned if they didn’t behave

    I'd like to take the opportunity to call out @blackpool72 as I said nothing politically inflammatory, including the second time when I was asked "was [Bob Vylan] a c@@t [sic] then too", and I replied solely about the music.

    Started to look like everyone was desperate to reply to me to make it so, I get compared to Seth - who is banned - for no reason, and it's an unwarranted personal attack.

    I never have said anything like that to you, Blackpool. This wasn't provoked. You've just had a go for a cheap shot. I'd like to understand why.

    I'll have to make sure that I get a Waffen SS uniform for next year's rally, I mean festival.  However, as the Jew hate is so fashionable with the useful idiots that go, there's probably quite a waiting list...

    It’s debatable what really pisses people who give up their time to moderate a forum off the most. 

    1.Grown adults who don’t have decency to just stay within topic lanes when they know how things spiral when they don’t, or

    2. when a thread is closed for a reason so it can be reviewed, tidied up etc and people just simply start another one straight away.
