I think all Saturday games will be 12:30pm for the opening day.
They were for the Championship last year, while for League One they were all 5:30pm.
Last year both leagues kicked off on the same weekend so they got separate time slots. But this year the Championship starts one week later than League One and League Two.
Wasn’t it Southampton 5-0 or is my memory failing me, oh I missed out a slightly important point I should have put first home game in the premiership, I’m a stupid old git.
If we get Southampton the game is definitely being shown live on SKY
Don't forget that the Premier League wont be starting that weekend, so if that's the case there is the chance that we could start on Friday night / Saturday 12:30pm / Saturday 5:30pm / or some time on the Sunday.

I don’t like so much of a staggered start. Feels unnecessary to have the top four leagues spread across three weekends.

But all fixtures will be shown… so I reckon the police will still prefer the 12:30pm KO for all clubs. As they won’t want some potential fixtures at 5:30pm on a Saturday.
I think the fixture list can make or break a season. I'm sure Ipswich opened up with Liverpool home then Citeh away. However well they played they were always going to be playing catch up and with a heavily negative goal difference.
I'd therefore like Oxford (h) then Pompey (a) then PNE (h). They could kick off at midnight for all I care, let's just get off to a flyer. Pompey had a horrible set of fixtures to kick off last season and couldn't get a win and it took them most of the season to kick on.

I wonder if its for SkySports+
Did they do the same last year, with this staggered start?
The 3pm blackout doesnt come into effect if there is no Football in the top two Divisions, so wonder if Saturday 2nd August will see all League Two games on SkySports+ at 3pm, and League Two at 5:30pm
Prefer an away game as long as it’s a 3pm Saturday kick off. Three months with no competitive football and we should sell out what hopefully will be a decent allocation to start the season, although knowing our luck it will be Wrexham and another 1k away end.
On a practical level many families on holiday still given it’s only mid August which can detract from the attendance. Although that said will still impact some the following week.
We will get Southampton in my view. My preference would be Boro Preston Hull or Blackburn away to get one of the grim up north games out of the way early.

amended as I’m getting old, see below :-)

It won't change until at least 2029 when the current TV deal is up.
