I'm sure I started off reading the great Frankie Valley blog and came over when he stopped blogging.
Now I come on here when I'm feeling down, read a bit of Golfie, and realise my life isn't so bad after all...(sorry Golfie)
Also, sometimes a post will wind me up with some outlandish statement, but then I realise it's Ronnie Moore so I have a laugh instead....(sorry Ronnie)
Seriously, where else could you go to read about a football team and end up on a coach going to France and Belgium to learn about the two world wars from one of the most informative and entertaining battlefield tour guides?
I think the ability to have an opinion that differs from others and it be debated/discussed with respect and not just shot down for being different is sorely lacking in the world currently. CL manages to do this really well in all things life and Charlton while still keeping/creating humour.
You must have access to a sub section of the forum I don’t. When I post an opinion that differs from others it gets picked apart by Callum and his statistics, Off it questions if I am an AI bot and Leroy calls me a melt.
But despite all that I wouldn’t have it any other way 👍🏻
In answer to the OP - Charlton Life is not a forum - it is a group of people with common antecedents, who support each other, take the piss out of each other, disagree at times but make up, share the most personal things about their lives with no risk of being judged. It is full of wit and wisdom - both shared unreservedly, and as far as football is concerned it is most knowledgeable.
So, not a Forum - rather a family. And that is what makes it very, very special.
You're right, it is a family forum, and you know what family do? We support eachother.
So here is a hyperlink to subscribe to my youtube channel for all things Charlton Athletic:
Just 98,656 away from my lifelong goal of 100k subscriptions.
Bang on. It’s a family and families help each other.
That’s why I know you’ll help me out when you hear about my difficult situation.
As you know, next season Charlton are playing in the championship. And as much as I love my man cave the tv in it is only 52 inches and woefully inadequate to fully appreciate the finer nuances of championship football.

Could do with a little beer fridge as well. Nothing too extravagant. Go on, a dart board n all.
Charlton Life has been with me at all the major points in my life. When I dealt with my mums cancer and when she passed away, I couldn’t have got through it without the countless messages from people - most of whom I have never met. The How Are You thread is absolute gold - truly the best of people in one thread on this forum. In reality we are all very different and unique individuals… Charlton Athletic is the bond that brings us all together.
We laugh together, console one another when someone is having a tough time, and when the good times come it is magical.
I've tried asking before, and the thread got shut down, but since everyone seems to be in a jolly mood on this thread, I'll try asking again. What is the deal with ITTV? Is it an offshoot from this forum? Why do we hate eachother? If it's a silly question, I'll just leave it

I think the main reason is that most people are triggered by the three word name “Into The Valley” being abbreviated to ITTV.
I’ve always appreciated Admins very fair and easy to follow accounting procedures. I pay by annual standing order……I realise they’re almost certain to put up the fees by £50 or so now that we are back in The Championship, it’s understandable I guess. Still, at £250 per season it’s well worth it IMHO.👊
Yes it is.
But I’ve always thought it odd that the finance section of CL should be run by a Nigerian Prince.
the site pays well for its top posters - ITTV couldn't get close to matching the rise afka just gave me now we're a championship forum again - - he sees the potential
