  • St Andrews 1987 ❌ Couldn't get the time off work, listened on a radio in a pub in soho
    Old Wembley 1998 ✅

Do you mean the Pardew game. Can we use the 'O' word now?

    St Andrews 1987 ✅
    Old Wembley 1998 ✅
    Wembley 2019 ✅
    Wembley 2025 ✅

  • All of them. Living to tell the tale of the first one is a result in itself
Not many day trippers or hangers on at Elland Road or St Andrews as i recall.
  • All four plus the full members final against Blackburn at Wembley.
  • Five for me.

    Selhurst Park 87 ✅
    St Andrews 87 ✅
    Wembley 98 ✅
    Wembley 19 ✅
    Wembley 25 ✅

    Who's been? ✅
    Whose been?❌

And I was going to say very brotherly that so were my 2 siblings. Only need @LargeAddick to post now.

  • All 4 for me.

St. Andrews was fun, my 70 year old Dad had a rather unsavoury Leeds fan shout in his face after the game "fooking 5,000, is that all you bring" to which my 70 year old dad replied in his poshest accent ever "never mind old chap, better luck next time"! The look on this Leeds fan was bloody priceless.

To top it all afterwards we couldn't find the car for an hour and we met a few fellow addicks who were in the same boat, dreadful ground and area then and now but fantastic memories.
  • 87 Selhurst ✅
    87 Elland Road ✅
    87 St Andrews ❌
    97 ✅
    2019 ✅
    2025 ✅
  • Yep, all off them.
St Andrews the most tense by a distance, since it felt like the future our club was at stake.

Only one I missed was St Andrews, although I watched it on the telly at about 11:30 that night.

AAjr has the last three but he doesn’t remember much about ‘98 as he was only four.
  • Why was St Andrews chosen? I understand they wanted a neutral ground between the 2 teams, but it was hardly known for hosting major occasions, unlike say Villa Park.
  • Yes.

Me and me Dad ran out and then couldn't find the car. Big traffic jam on way home as well.

1800 max i reckon we had
  • I have been lucky enough to see all 4

was more nervous at this one, not sure why.

  • Yes all four for me. After the St Andrews match there seemed to be more Leeds than Addicks travelling south. I think I'm getting more nervous as time goes by!
  • All four for me too, yesterday was the hardest for me to secure a ticket though.
  • Went to all 4. Wonder who has not missed any play off matches? Missed Ipswich h and a in 87, shrews away in 2018 but have attended all the others.

    I've attended all of them.

  • Ipswich 1st leg... sasa Illic diving full length to pluck the ball out of the air like Pat Jennings right at the death.
