How are we suffering today?…

Surprisingly no sore head but my calves are absolutely killing me for some reason.

The good thing about having 12 pints of Guinness is no hangover. Been out & done 5 miles with Magnus. Just hoping Mrs GA doesn’t ask me to do anything today.

Voice is a little hoarse... I didn't drink so not hungover at all

Its ridiculous how tired the day can make you, what with the emotions you go through. It wasn't overly warm, didn't have to do much walking, but like 2019 it just leaves you shattered, and was in bed by 10pm!!

The walk back to Wembley Park didn't help, I left shortly after they lifted the trophy again back on the pitch (around 3:30pm), and didn't get on a train until 4:30pm... You really felt it being an all London tie, as imagine it was the route nearly all fans were taking, unless you went by coach, other transport, or were going for a beer after - Didnt help that I think there were issues on the Jubilee / Metropolitan Line

My partner just texted me saying she’d done her gardening yesterday. Good, I wouldn’t be helping today lol.

Spent the match propped / sitting on the top of the seat back, legs were struggling to get to the hotel afterwards and bits of me hurt this morning in places I didn't know existed !!

Yeah, same here, but probably because the escalator at Wembley stopped working, so had to walk all the way up to the gods!

3 pints before the game, 3 pints after. Feeling very decent, and just buzzing soaking it all in still.

Better than expected once I got up and out this morning but a reminder of why I don’t binge drink more often!

Ooh fcuk, just about to climb out of bed, head fractured, back aching and voice has gone a bit Joe Pasquale so that’s broken too - as normally more Barry White after a session. All that said, don’t give a fcuk, this morning we are Championship and I get to take my lad to a whole bunch of new stadiums for him.

This was the sum total of my post match celebration, so in terms of hang over there isn't one.

Apparently I crashed through the front door, kebab in hand, announced that the day was brilliant in tears, then flopped down at the kitchen table, scoffing said kebab noisily whilst hiccuping and burping. Once done, I sat in between them on the sofa and made them watch all the videos from the day (they weren’t that interested). Got sent to bed after about 10 minutes

Feet are pounding. Mentally, I’m drained. Only had one beer at that was after the game. Absolutely exhausted today.

Voice is very hoarse, I genuinely sang my heart out.

Thumb hurts, smashed that tin roof above me relentlessly to keep some atmosphere going.

And I've undone about 2 weeks worth of hard work as I had 10 pints and 20 slices of domino's pizza.

Other than that, I feel on top of the world. It still hasn't sunk in.

Did my first parkrun in a while on Saturday morning then later that evening it was Wembley mark 1 for the new Live Aid show on Shaftesbury.(Which was excellent by the way)
Late night, then back up early Sunday morning for Wembley mark 2.
In Boxpark for around 10. Few beers and some food. Just soaking it up.
Onto the game. Absolutely drained by the end of it. Back to Farringdon for something to eat. Headed straight for the secret sports bar that I frequent after work and it was rammed...with us. No tables and I was starving.
Headed round the corner to Nandos.
    Don't think I even had a beer!
    Exhausting but great day

Fell on my arse when the goal went, my backside was never pretty but now a nice shade of purple!
But the euphoria will be a week to dissipate.

Loved every minute of the day.

Off on holiday, see you all in August!!

Live, love, laugh and be happy!!

Amazingly stayed sober all day. Voice is at least an octave lower than usual. Absolutely exhausted mentally and physically. Got in from the match and slept 11 hours

Stayed off the booze as I was driving, but the nerves and adrenaline rush was awesome.
I sound like a shite Barry White today. Changed to different Charlton footy shirt this morning after a bit of a lie in (got to sleep about 4:30), free flag is pride of place on the parcel shelf of the car and was like that all the way home from Wembley.
Just elated, even the 3-0 Peterborough disappointmenr was worth it in the end.

Tottenham fan stopped me in the supermarket wished us well and congratuled us on the win. I said it's been not only a tough 5 years, but a tough decade TBF. Now we can look up.

Sort of gave up pre-match drinking when I first took the kids about 25 years ago (was a seasoned boozer before that, especially during the Selhurst years).
That said, I accidentally had a pint of wine pre-game, and a few more glasses post game in Hammersmith.
Slept most of the coach journey back to Bournemouth, them was refreshed back at home and polished off a bottle whilst I watched highlights and caught up with the fall-out on CL.
Woke up feeling surprisingly sprightly tbf

Emotionally drained, had 4 beers all day, walked nearly 20,000 steps, ate a bad takeaway last night and the gastrointestinal price for that started to be paid at 3am and at junctures throughout the day.

Glad of the rest, its much needed.
