Any chance @JamesSeed can pester GM, this is getting silly now.

I did get a message late last night which implied the next few days may well be critical for the Aussies’ bid.
    Déjà vu.

These Aussies seem to imply a lot but at the end of the day, fail to deliver. This is obviously only going one way.

At the end of which day?
I'm sure you'll give us another vague hint again next week.

    Then the week after.

Shame the Aussies cannot release their own statement rather than drip feeding morsels through their various 'sources'.

    Getting tiresome now.
    Fish puns will never die.
    They just keep surfacing
  • If you’d have all listened to me In thevfirst place you wouldn’t have been so sad when it all goes belly up again

    Beware false dawns

How about a new nonsense theory?

“It’ll go through once Roland receives the sell on fee for Lookman”

Stage 1 of the takeover infinity loop again
The pinnacle of this thread will be when there is 6 separate speculative rumours running concurrently on here each at a different stage of the takeover infinity loop.

In a few days a new season starts-------- fact
When we knew what division we would be playing in the take over would happen -----bollox
February the take over was imminent -----bollox
It was a few weeks, this week ,after two tough weeks blah blah-----bollox

We go into the season with a squad that is as week as I have seen in more than 5 decades. This is 100% RDs fault but the continued death of hope can be shared by the so called Aussie "buyers" with a drip feed of non info
------possibly because of an NDA. How the fuc k can it be this difficult ??

“is as week squad”. Is this code for we may get a new squad next week?

Ok no more info from me here by public request. I agree there’s been nothing substantial recently, so perhaps best to call it a day.

But you will let us know if you hear anything though? ;)

Actually I enjoy your updates, initially as the y gave me hope but lately as they spoke of the lack of confidence creeping into the takeover from the buyers side.

It's just not worth the aggro. I get why people are fed up, but in the cycling world they have something called Rule#5.

Not your fault mate you are only passing on what you have been told.

Unfortunately I believe we have more chance of winning the champions league than being taken over by the Aussies.

If the Aussies pull out, will they return their scarfs and ask for their money back?

It's passed the 30 days return policy.

    And they've been used.
Funnily enough, come to think of it, there were two used scarves up for offers on eBay a day or two back.
    Mmmmmm!

this was actually me. Someone i know at the club had mentioned this to me this morning, so i thought i'd ask Rich Cawley as he is certainly more ITK than me or my contact.

I'm desperate for it to go through, not claiming to be ITK, he literally said after asking if we had renewed the whisper were it had/was falling apart.

not a random rumor, purely asking if it was speculation or if it was the case...
Aren't you a gooner though, as per your Twitter page? Or do you follow both?
haha good spot, yes i am a gooner, i grew up supporting Arsenal, but my son is a charlton fan (his also called Harry Kane, which is quite depressing) but i have always had a close connection to charlton, played as a kid, family and friends always been fans and i had a ST throughout my youth up until i had my own kids. 2 years holding a season ticket with arsenal cost me a fortune, so back to the valley we came.
You left Arsenal to come back to Charlton ?

    Unique

No not unique. Chris Solly left Arsenal to come to Charlton.

Don't do it, JS. Or, if you're going to do it, do it for your own edification, not anyone's else's.

You really don't need the aggro, and this thread needs no more false dawns.

Let it be, as The Beatles said...

Lol it's because you don't know what you're talking about.

But rather than letting your whispering campaign taking hold here are the facts:

I had to take action on a different forum because of a series of libellous posts which led to an apology, removal of material, a promise not to repeat, and a donation to charity. This was not me censoring people's opinions, this was pure and deliberate defamation. I wasn't the first victim either. This person doesn't post here for reasons many of you know, but the matter is closed as far as both of us are concerned. We've moved on, and stirring it up now is unhelpful.

If you think you're being smart implying that I'm somehow silencing people who disagree with me you're wrong. If you were censored by the mods it's because they know what you're saying is untrue.
The flag system, as you know, is effective, and this site is well moderated, but the internet itself isn't completely unregulated for good reason.
