I think if we do well next season Roland has played a blinder , just my thoughts1

It could be genius or it could go tits up. Either way, I'm a lot more excited than this time last year and lets be honest, being a charlton fan and being excited is something we aren't that used to.14

Been a long long time gary0

He's only 23 his best football is to come! Hopefully0

And of the 15 that left we know some of them had completely run their course (Hollands, Jordan Cook, Danny Green etc). I would've liked to have Dervite, Hamer & Poyet stay, but all received better offers. All adds up to a decent recruitment drive in my opinion. I have a feeling Buyens and Gudmunssen, Bikey, TBH and Mousa might hit the ground running, Ventokele and Tucudean might take a little longer to bed in.ross1 said:According to BBC (sorry if on here anywhere) but George is a free transfer, surely no one can moan if he did not cost anything? Looking at the player squads, we have lost 15 players, brought in 7 plus the two young lads and Gomez was not included last year, so we have 10 new players for the first team squad, so far. If you look at the players that went in the summer (no not January) can you honestly say we are worst off? I know we have not seen all of them play yet (not at all to their full potential) but these 10 look better than the 15 who left, at least on paper (shame we don't play on paper) and we have only paid out for Igor.

Dont want to spoil the excitement but at Standard he was pretty poor, has decent first touch, good shot on him but for some reason he was really painful to watch. Confidence issues ... at least I hope for you guys0

Thank you anyway, but we have had players we were told were no good for other teams that came good for us, so we can only hope it was a confidence thing, please keep posting information you have.Belgian_Spur said:Dont want to spoil the excitement but at Standard he was pretty poor, has decent first touch, good shot on him but for some reason he was really painful to watch. He's a great player. He will learn so much playing along side our current number 9.Belgian_Spur said:Dont want to spoil the excitement but at Standard he was pretty poor, has decent first touch, good shot on him but for some reason he was really painful to watch. And we've had plenty of players who arrived here full of praises from fans of previous club, yet they fall flat on their arse. Just think it's a case of players finding a club & manager that suits them....ross1 said:

Didn't really get a lot of time though, one start wasn't it? Anyway you had me at decent first touch given some of our previous springboard footed strikers.Belgian_Spur said:Dont want to spoil the excitement but at Standard he was pretty poor, has decent first touch, good shot on him but for some reason he was really painful to watch. Still every Romanian I know doesn't like Rumania being used as it has been outraged since the late 1800s, early 1900s.0 -
