It could be a couple of months if the operation goes well otherwise he is out for the season

A Charlton player with a fairly innocuous injury is then subsequently ruled out for a long period of time. Has this ever happened before...............

Seen on the Transfer Rumour thread that Cawley reports Konsa to be sold in January.

Rojo must be nailed on a contract extension.

    Yes
To be fair, those little legs of his were bound to wear out faster than a normal sized person's.

Just added detail to your already highly pertinent remark....

He went up for a header with a Bradford player.

I know you had this theory that Erol Umet was to blame for all the injuries but he's left and it was an in game injury. Who are you blaming now?

The centre-back hurt himself when he challenged a header with James Hanson in the opening seconds of the game. #cafc #CAFCLive

You must be mistaking me for another poster. I have never even typed the words Erol Umet, let alone blamed him for anything.

Not sure about Sally's pace gone. Last televised match (forget which, I'm an Exiter) he nipped in front of their winger with acceleration and won the ball. Later in the match he strolled back when they scored another goal but perhaps a reflection on Slave's tactics or lack of them.

In the case of both players it's fair to say that they're not as good as they were 3 or 4 years ago.

Perusing the CL stats, I see Solly averages 6.35 for the season, which is ok but below the scores he used to get.

No short little Sally (only 5ft 3")

Historically there can't have been many better CB pairings than Bauer and Tex? Ludicrous that they are playing at this level really, if we can keep those two together, then we should finish top ten surely?

Robinson couldn't give us too much on Pearce's injury but said "I don't expect to see him back for a long time, it wasn't good news." #cafc

At least it makes a change from the usual 12 month cycle of false hope...

"Not long, the injury just needs an injection and rest"
    "Complications"
    "Seeing a specialist"
    "Operation"
    "Complications"
    etc

Bad news, such a pity for him

Sad as it is I wasn't particularly enamoured with him from what I have seen. He looks like a red card / penalty waiting to happen most games. Bauer and Tex are both more commanding, mobile and better on the ball.

Annoyingly Konsa is decent but likely to be sold so I'd suggest Lennon becomes 3rd choice

Out for 3 months according to SSN

Out for 3 months according to SSN

Well that's better than I expected. Realistically, there's only one month of the season left, if he returns when expected and even then will he be "match fit" ?

Pearce may be a grappling type of defender, but Bauer has picked up 3 red cards in fewer than 40 games for us, so is far more of a red card risk

We seem to get our fair share of injuries to important players. And yet Rojo goes through a season un-fricking-scathed!

If he only plays two or three times (which is too many), the chance of getting injured are reduced

But it's not as if all the major injuries our players get are from match day incidents, such as bad tackles

Most of them seem to be the muscle injuries you could just as easily pick up in training

    Katrien's legs have definitely gone.

Exactly, or match day but non-impact, like Lookman doing a hamstring while alone near the touch line last season.

I believe ( but cannot prove) that it is because RD cut the figures in the spreadsheet line for fitness, medical etc. However it seems West Ham have similar problems. The human element of this part of a club's effectiveness is also important. We have all come across arrogant medical people as well as the many brilliant ones.
