It is CAFC press day tomorrow with Slade.

Please ask him why we have sold yet another of your players who was part of our 1st team squad, who was sold to Huddersfield who are not a Premiership club and so breaking the word of the CEO who said the fans could watch the Premier League players of tomorrow, she didn't mention Huddersfield, also breaking the word of Mr Murray who told us that with RD as owner we wouldn't have to sell our young players but could hang on to them for a while.

Would one of you have the temerity to ask such a question?

We got an offer for a player we thought wouldn't play a significant part in the first team this season. Fox has done really well and we're really pleased about that. Sometimes when an offer comes in from a team in a higher league, you don't want to stand in the player's way. We wished him luck. He's a good lad. Hope he does well.

The transfer window is still open. Let's see where we are at the end of the window. There are still one or two things we are working on. We're trying to get a couple of deals over the line. It's difficult when there are a lot of teams trying to improve their squads at this stage of the season.

Why are you being so negative? Can we have a question from someone who is a bit more positive please?

Yes please ask why THD went & what sort of add ons. Does it depend on them getting promoted or the amount of appearances he makes for them etc.

Regarding going to Hudds. In all fairness it's ridiculous to suggest that every single Academy player will be sold to a Prem club. I didn't see them lining up to buy Piggott.

It's £37 raising to £500k when they retain their champions league title.

But only if he scores 100 goals in a season and gets 1000 caps for England

To be fair I agree completely with Slade there.

Its like many have already said on here... If Tareiq wants to leave because he cant get ahead of Fox then he's naive if he can become first choice at Huddersfield

So Tarieq, what do you do?
    I'm a professional footballer.

Oh wow, which team do you play for?
I'm in the first team squad for Charlton.

Hahahahahahahahaha, sorry about that mate, your club is in a state and your owner and CEO have made a laughing stock of your club throughout football.

Thanks mate, who do you support?
    Millwall.

Local papers are totally shit. Reflect the opinions of most of Charlton's fans.
    Or the club
No brainer, the club gives you press releases, the fans demand actual journalism. They cop out.
    They are just shit.

Lennon expected to play one more game for the under 23's and then will be Fox backup as well as CD

Rich Cawley seems to get a lot of info from the club first. His updates are always timely and useful.

There is a price to be paid for that and he can't be overly critical otherwise the club wouldn't trust him to give him the info.

I think that's fine and to be expected from any club.

Different league but Chelsea and Man U under particularly Mourinho and Ferguson respectively had some fairly substantial bust ups with their press coverage.

And you are really shit at times as well. I rate Rich Cawley as one of the journos putting a lot of Charlton stuff out there. Think he does a good job.

Oh well . I've not seen journalists giving out stuff or working to get Duchatet out. I have seen them getting free access to see the games but but not actually asking the questions that really matter. But I'm just shit.
Sol i know where i stand. I'm a fan with an opinion but apparently i don' t matter.
Fair enough I'm done. No more protesting, no more caring about the club because I'm shit.
    Bye.

In the past I've been a big critic of the SLP because it was certainly compromised by its relationships with the clubs it covers - not unusual as you say, but still unhealthy.

I'd have to say, however, that's not been true at all of Richard Cawley (or for that matter Louis Mendez) over the last year (and earlier). I think they've done a good job regardless of what the club might think about it. That has certainly included being critical.

To be fair to Lennon I think it's a position he can play if required. Didn't his first few appearances come at left back under Powell?

Not that the situation is ideal. Lennon is quite obviously a centre back and doesn't give us any sort of support going forward that you should expect from a full back.

Archie Edwards is the next cab off the rank. Get him into the first team squad and see how he does. Harry Lennon is a centre half. I know he has played left back before but it is not his position. Less than a week to go before the transfer window slams shut. I think we need three more players, a left back and two midfielders.

It's not a question of him wanting to leave as much as it is a question of WHY he wanted to leave?

    We're a fecking farce!!!

The interview says it, can't get ahead of Fox and want's to play football, which he is unlikely to get at Huddersfield so it probably them comes back to money.
  • "It is not like he was at a team that is going to struggle in League One"

God that line made me wince.

    Lets hope not eh Russell.

Give it time the Belgians are working on it.
