Rather than blame trump has anyone thought about blaming the music industry? You know the rap stars the youth in America look up to so much? Thes ones opening bragging about carrying guns and killing etc?

Watched many movies lately? Seen much TV? Read many books? Played or seen adverts for xbox or PlayStation? Think you will find people were killing people long before Hip Hop turned up pal.
Okay StevieG, that's a fair point. Thanks for putting that across without getting flustered or swearing.

Take note Leuth, Kent Addick etc.
You're welcome. P.S there is more than enough hip hop about today that is great to listen to and tells a story without smacking my bitch up or popping caps in asses ( and I grew up on hip hop and rap in 80's an90's and there was lot of anger in it ).

How many black lives are saved by the police in the US every year?

    Why is it relevant ?
Why isn't it relevant? It supports the fact that Black lives do in fact matter. ALL lives matter is what they should be championing.

Regarding taser use on baggy clothes

“The most effective place for a TASER probe to hit is one probe above the belt and one below the belt with a spread of a foot or more,” Tracy said. Baggy clothing can get in the way of probes making contact with the skin. Denim can stop the probes getting through all together. The probe can also come loose of the wire/skin and the probes can be shot too close together.

All of these scenarios would leave the intended target unaffected.

“A lot of times the top dart misses or the bottom dart misses,” Paxton said. "The top probe has a laser sight on it and is fired directly, while the second probe is fired at an angle. Firing it from a distance usually means a better spread of the probes, but the probability of missing is greatly increased by distance.”

It also is difficult to hit a moving target. If the probes are not shot directly into the subject, the TASER takes time and can be difficult to reload.

“The TASER X-26 (U.S standard Police issue) is limited to one deployment at a time,” Tracy said. "While the cartridge can be dropped and reloaded, reloading is difficult under stress.”
But black lives clearly don't matter to all coppers in the states, that's entirely the point.
And neither do white lives matter to all coppers otherwise no white people would have been killed.
there was a really high profile case in america not long ago where a white college athlete essentially got off scot free on a sexual assault and rape charge because it might "hurt his career" further down the line. The reporting of the case used a college grad photo of him, not a police mug shot they usually use
Yeah, there was a meme doing the rounds after Alton Sterling got shot that went something like "get shot while unarmed by police, they print your previous record. Rape a girl and they print your swim times."
When your previous records include illegal possession of fire arms and resisting arrest, then it's not that black and white.

Neither of them punishable by death, and there is nothing in the two pieces of footage shown to indicate that he did anything to warrant being shot in the chest repeatedly at point blank range.

I didn't say it was punishable by death. You can clearly see from the video tho that he isn't exactly cooperating with police. Of course the whole incident should have been better dealt with. Just pointing out that meme is a load of shite.

It's not. It is to illustrate that a white PERPETRATOR had his swim times printed and that he was given a lighter sentence lest raping a girl "ruined his life" while a VICTIM had his police record printed.

Sorry, in the interest of fairness it is also worth pointing out that, strange as this may seem, illegal possession of a firearm can be a far more mundane crime in the US than it sounds. It can have to do with not having the right paperwork for a gun, letting a permit expire, etc. It would be like letting your car registration lag.

I understand that this sounds strange, and I don't know the particulars of the charge, but it's worth highlighting that it's not the same as what it would be in the UK for example.

To be honest you have not responded to a single point any one has made, just simply trolled people. Why should anyone respond when you post a video of a speech by some one else that finally fits your opinion?

This. The 'hip hop causes violence' debate is so old and pathetic. I can't believe people even entertained it. Glad hip hop was defended though and the original statement was rightfully ridiculed.

Sure they do. but have you listened to much hip hop music? Beyond anything from the 1980's?

Then you have to wonder, why was that music by the likes of NWA so popular and continues to be? and why did the artists create that music?

Let me ask you this, would you rather be a white working class man in America, or would you rather be a black working class man in America? I think any debate on racism in the states can be settled by asking yourself that question.

No on the contrary I think they do. And all rappers rap exclusively about violence and criminality. In fact, technically for music to be classified as hip hop, musical law states that at least 90% of your album must be about killing. That's why rappers like Lupe Fiasco, Macklemore, Common, Talib Kweli, J Cole and many others are not legally allowed to call their music hip hop - it's just not violent enough. Also, young black Americans have no free will. They don't have the freedom to choose whether to be influenced or not - they automatically are. In fact, every single crime committed since 1979 can be traced back to a specific hip hop song and each rapper needs to take responsibility for this. Ah to go back to that peaceful pre-1979 world before hip hop where there was no such thing as crime. Those were the days.

What are the figures for Mexican people being shot by the police ?
What are the figures for black people being shot by black Policemen ?
What are the figures for people of Colour, Eg Latino's,Indian ETC. being shot by the police ?

    These are such sad questions.
which wouldn't have to be asked if the archaic gun law didn't exist from the wild west days.
The US of A is totally fucked up on this subject.
There will be one tit for tat killing after another now.

    Mankind is the killing machine of the animal world;
always has been and always will be.

100 years ago was the Battle of the Somme. where Lions were sent to their death by Donkeys. The only "progress" is the Guns are more powerful now.

A Black President can't do Jack shit about gun control. (not for the want of trying)

    Peace and Love.
