I really miss Curbs' classic waiting room celebration.

Can anybody think of a more important header than Rufus's?
Wish we could've captured some of the passion in that match, bottled it and given it to Luzon

Lisbie at Stamford Bridge - last minute - deserves to be there.

Funny, watching Leaburns goal at Old Trafford there were a few celebrating behind the goal, back in the 70's the chaps would be singing "You've got Charlton in your end"

Can't see the video, do they include Sean Newton (I think against West Brom, mid 1990's) ?

The Gods smiled on us at that moment. Whatever possessed Perez to come out for that ball, we'll never know. If he stays on his line, he'd catch it!

Among my favourite headers would be; (with a bit of help from the Colin Cameron book...)

Derek Hales v Man City at The Valley 1983...great jump and looping job to give us a 1-0 win in the pouring rain.

Derek Hales v Huddersfield at The Valley 1983 (to get the all-time record)....near post diving effort, I think from a Gary Kimble cross.

Peter Shirtliff v Leeds (in the video).

Andy Jones v Nottingham Forest at The City Ground 1988....superb centre-forward's header to give us a deserved 2-2 in the 86th min.

Andy Jones v Man City at Maine Road 1990....downward header after great run and cross from John Humphrey...put us 1-0 up. Won 2-1.

Alex Dyer v Everton at Selhurst Park (FA Cup) 1991....rocket header at The Sainsbury's End.

Carl Leaburn v Blackburn at Ewood Park 1991.....brilliant cross from Colin Walsh and a bullet equaliser in the 89th minute from LEEEEEABURN!

Paulo Di Canio v Luton at The Valley 2003 (Carling Cup)....88th min looper from Campbell-Ryce cross. Di Canio's only open-play goal for Charlton.

Chris Iwelumo v Southampton at St Mary's 2009?....last minute diving header at the far post from superb Luke Varney run and cross.

Chris Iwelumo v Bristol City at Ashton Gate a couple of nights later.....powerful last minute header from beautiful ball from Andy Reid.

John Jackson v QPR at The Valley a couple of seasons ago from Adjarevic's corner. Still don't know how he got it in from such a tight angle. Cue massive out-pouring of relief/emotion. Bedlam!

and a few from the opposition...

Kevin Keegan for Newcastle at St James Park 1983...diving header from a flicked on cross in the driving rain. I can still picture the rain drops bouncing up off the net-strings the nano-second before the crowd roared (and did they roar!) Equaliser 1-1....and then he did it again to give them a 2-1 win.

Jim Melrose for Man City at Maine Road 1985....really well timed jump and header back across goal from Paul Simpson's cross. Couldn't believe our luck when we we signed him just under a year later!

Paul Davis for Arsenal at Highbury 1989....amazing full length dive from a ball that seemed to come more from behind him than from a cross.

Thinking back to that Alex Dyer header against Everton in the FA Cup. Didn't he get an identical thumping header a week later against Bristol Rovers at Selhurst?

Yes he did. Another bullet header at The Sainsbury's End (consults book...82 min equaliser and you are also right, it was a week later)
