Well the charltonlife collective did a lot better than week 3s virtual £555 present to William Hill. In week 4 we managed to only boost the bookies virtual coffers by £24.68.
That somewhat distorts the fact that with both Chelsea and Liverpool getting dicked at home, only 6 out of 84 punters made a virtual profit. And for 2, a very tidy one.
Week 1 winner smiffyboy hit the jackpot again with a virtual £269.12 profit (a little less than he actually won by backing up his bet in reality and getting better odds with another bookie). Also theenorth made an almost equally impressive virtual profit of £250.56 (if you hear a knocking sound whilst reading this, that'll be theenorth bashing his head against a wall for not backing his bet up). Both got good value selecting Burnley and Birmingham.
Congratulations to all 6 virtual profiteers this week.
Its no surprise to see smiffyboy well ahead in the overall standings and still only 33 out of 103 individuals actually seeing a positive return in any of the first 4 weeks.
The rest of us are on -£40
No fixtures this week. Will post up week 5's odds next Thursday.
With 5 newbies coming in on week 4, I've decided not to enforce the 'you have to have played by end of August' rule, in case there's anyone else that fancies a go. Any newbie coming in will start on the same balance as the lowest in the competition (at the moment there are 70 of us on virtual -£40).

Seriously, the effort is really appreciated.
Great work
It is not a game - it is an exercise in football intelligence and I have been found wanting.
