I know this is on the Pitch quality thread but I think it deserves it's own thread. It really has been a very positive first few hours of new ownership.

Isn't that Olly Was Here, Van Susans, Olly thread, Olly ?0 -
It is.0

sounds good, but let's hope that Nathan has talked to RM or RD re the cost of all this work.0
-
Collapsed drainage ? Surely not ? I thought it was Paddy Powell's fault ?
Anyway, enough sarcasm. At least now the thought police have left the building, the staff are allowed to tell us what we had already guessed.
It's only been hushed up for a couple of years !
NB I'm presuming they won't find any bodies under there.0 -
damage caused by pitch invasions....Phantom User said:Author: Olly Groome (from article)

Barnsley sounds in doubt as well by the sounds of that article...0

I would think the problem for the remainder of this season will be that unless we can keep the cover until perhaps the end of march then every time it rains the pitch will flood if the drains are still blocked. I hope we don't end up with a fixture pile up which leaves us shy on points but with games in hand. That would be very nervy.0

Olly was taken on full time by the club some time ago.Phantom User said:Author: Olly Groome (from article)

That's a surprisingly long time, dating back to when the West Stand was being built.East_Stand_Loopy said:Nothing been done for 16-17 years!

Shame richard Murray couldn't have helped address these problems when he was, err, on the old dreadful board?0
-
Thinking this through as has been suggested on other thread, about current owners remaining responsible for any 'hidden costs required' does that mean that Roly can charge any costs incurred in rectifying the pitch problems to the old regime?ForeverAddickted said:

Yep, because someone with a 10% stake is always the one that ultimately makes the decisions.falconwood_1 said:Shame richard Murray couldn't have helped address these problems when he was, err, on the old dreadful board?
How do you know that he didn't implore the actual owners to do something about it?0 -
Suspect it may be factored into the price. The Prince-e-Paul said:

I think you can assume this comes as no surprise - It wasn't exactly something easy to hide! The Prince-e-Paul said:

What happens if we can't get through the next few difficult months? How many games are we allowed to postpone before the FA step in? What will happen if they do?0
