As much as I'd like to agree with you, golf....it ain't gonna happen - they cannot afford to tie that amount of OB down at a sporting event, when all the scumbags are looking to run riot.

Compared to what some people are going through right now - I find it hard to think that it is terribly important, anyhow.

2012 end of the world and all that...

    The beggining.

Dare I say, without sounding too Biblical .. that things will never be the same in this country, london at least

    reserve?

This is ridiculous. Something needs to be done and fast before it ends up being people's homes.

Not being funny - bit f**king late for water cannons now!
  • I cannot believe what I am seeing tonight. I lived through the riots of the early 80's and thought we'd got past this sort of thing as a society. This is like something out of a movie. Our police are stretched to breaking point it seems and just holding their lines and doing their best to protect firefighters and little more.

It'll be a miracle if no one dies tonight and if they do they'll be a lot of people who've made apology after apology for these feral youths and gangs who need to take a large share of the blame.

''around 32,000'' as your source vaguely suggests is the same as KL had, and that is before over 3,000 EXTRA special constables are factored in, but having any debate with you is pointless as despite the plea from AFKA for more tolerant postings you continue to be boorish in the extreme.

    ............

Let's try again...there are now fewer police officers than there were when KL was mayor. You didn't bother reading the link - around 1,000 police officers lost their jobs or weren't replaced when they retired.

    A simple fact.

Across the country there will be an estimated 10,000 fewer police officers to boot.

And cuts to the London fire brigade:

I think that there is a very good chance that all football in London will be off tomorrow. Last thing OB need is their resources being tied up at sporting events or any other public gatherings that need a police presence.

It might seem radical but I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of curfew is imposed following the COBRA meeting tomorrow morning, although not sure how this would be enforced without getting the Army involved and not sure if the government has the balls to do this.

    This is so fucked up.

Got caught up in Hackney earlier when things started, I can understand how this vermin is able to do all this but it's just the scale of it, and how they are getting away with it. Really fucking sad and frightening.

Bought a cheap first class ticket North the other day, now on the train having a few free drinks, checking updates, and looking forward to taking my neice out tomorrow. She's 10 and watching on tv, gonna have to explain all this to her.

Glad to be out of London (tho back on Weds), and thoughts go out to Leroy and anyone else putting up with all this scum lording it with no comeuppance. Stay safe Addicks.

Do you have a problem with reading? Give it a rest. If you want to have your little squabble take it to a PM, all the people using this thread for important information doesnt need to be reading your childish little arguement.
