Not sure, did not pull up many trees at Colchester in League 1 in 09/10 if memory serves but maybe Boothroyds style did not suit him as much as it did when he was there and scored 17 in the Champ under Geraint Williams. However, scored a couple of important goals for Milwall this year and read Jackett would be keen to keep him which suggests he can still do a job at Champ level so would be a good signing for this level.

If we sign Kish aswell, blimey, old boys club at CAFC.

Bad attitude problem, which is why Ipswich sent him out on loan. Keane and Jewell both refused to put up with his antics - not one for us!

Like I have said many a time on here, lets look at players who haven't already wasted their opportunity with us and haven't already disappointed the majority of our fans. We don't need a striker like him anyway, would he work well with BWP? I don't think so.

We need someone with presence, someone who can batter defences and win headers and flick-ons for BWP to feed off of. Benson, Anyinsah, BWP, Mr. B. Iglump and maybe A.Loner will be more than enough.
  • I think he is good enough to do a decent job for us and would personally be happy to see him come back, trouble is too many fans would remember he couldn't cut it in the Prem (2 leagues above) and boo him at his first mis control/miss shot / offside etc so would never give him the chance - therefore, sadly, it would not work.

No - I don't see him working with BWP - too similar apart from the obvious differnce in finishing ability.

Please god NO! . We need a big ugly striker who can hold a ball up and score a few. No more lightweight forwards required.

My younger son's favourite Charlton player of all time. Even has the shirt to prove it.

I know. I know. He was only 11 at the time.

why are we going ver old ground? the fans never really took to kev, even when he scored that hattrick against the scoucers, to which I had the pleasure of witnessing. the adoration lasted about a week and normal service resumed, both for the player and fans.

I don't think going back ever works and don't think it would here, so ylthis is a long winded way of saying no, no, nooooooooooo!

"Keane and Jewell both refused to put up with his antics "

Seem to recall that when Keane sent Lisbie out on loan it was without even seeing him play. Heard from a well connected Ipswich supporter that it was Keanes poor man-management skills that lead to his lack of success there, so I doubt if Lisbie has an attitude problem - if he had then Curbs wouldn't have kept him on for so long.

Whenever there's talk of ex-players coming back there seems to be a chorus of 'lets not go backwards'. Same with Kishishev, and yet I think we've got to remember that we're two divisions lower now, so anyone with Premier League experience is potentially good enough for us.

Three of our all-time top goalscorers were players that we weren't afraid to re-sign. (Hales, Flanagan, Firmani).

Our (arguably) most successful manager of all time was a player that we weren't afraid to re-sign. (Curbs)

Lisbie would be more than good at this level. I'd definitely sign him up if the opportunity arose.

Good enough at this level yes but I don't think Lisbie or Kish are right for us.
