So, who did they feature?

Ribery - out in the group stages
Drogba - out in the group stages
Cannavaro - out in the group stages
Rooney - out in round 2
Ronaldo out in round 2
Ronaldinho - never even went

Have I missed anyone?

Seems like being in a nike ad is a bit of a curse eh?

    Cameo role, along with Walcott, Howard et al.

    It's focused on those main players, all of whom are now notable by their absence.

    This reminds me of EA Sports Madden game. The player that appeared on the front cover of every game for about 6 years ended up having a serious injury that season. Apart from Micheal Vick.....who ended up in jail for dog fighting!
