    Comeback

    this will not end well.

Think he's gonna get seriously screwed up in the ring - his body can't keep doing what he does to it. He doesn't strike me as the brightest either so he really could do with some good advisors but sadly it seems they just want more money

I thought he now had his own promotions & gym etc. Perhaps being around the younger boxers he is promoting has given him this terrible idea.

if it was the old hatton coming back to fight then id be up for it, but seems as if he has let loose and now probably thinks hes better then he is

I watched from his first fights and geniunley thought he would have a chance against Mayweather, how wrong was i there!

I'd love him for this one fight to go out with a bang and a great performance but cant see it, hope im wrong again

Tell you what, Amir Khan having a belt will be niggling him. Hatton fought and stopped one of the hardest men I've ever seen in a boxing ring in Kostya Zsyu, Khan has not even fought the hardest fighters in Britain and hold a title.

I think Hatton with the right training camp would f*ck Khan up.

yeah i agree, although i think khan is too early in his career to compare the two. there not going to fight each other are they? i would of thought they would have too much respect for each other and Fatton, oops i mean hatton still class above

hmmm im not so sure. I think Rickys last two bouts would still have an effect on him. Khan's hand speed is simply outrageous and since he got spanked he has got stronger, altho granted his opponents have been crap. I love Ricky Hatton but now i think Khan would be too quick for him.

Nah, no way. Mallignaggi is quicker than Khan, although he couldn't break glass, Hatton bashed him.

Khan is a world champion, he should fight and be looking to fight everyone.

He does not want to fight Maidana, neither do Roach or Warren.

That's not a world champion, that's a boxer still developing.

    Maidana will hurt him
  • Ricky stick with the guinness.
  • I saw Hatton being interviewed just now on the TV, feck me sideways, he looks fatter than me.

What the feck does this bloke put down his gregory between fights?

Several pints apparentally, still get him trained up for 8-10weeks properly and would ruin khan ;-)

It’s only a matter of time that one of these old fighters gets hurt . When are they going to learn that no one wants to see them come out of retirement?

Stupid boy. Why not just leave us with the good memories! What'll he be, a middleweight? In with Eubank Jnr next?

The trouble is that people pay to see such events and they need the money.  George Foreman was probably one of very few oldies to succeed. Then again he was inspired by God and used money on his church from the venture.
One of the all time greats Archie Moore was in his late forties when he got beat by Ali.

Jeez the geezer had fitness issues over a decade ago. He’d be blowing out his arse after the ring walk now

  • So, so sad but, like so many fighters Hatton has apparently not invested wisely and so he will look to make some cash the only way he really knows.

He was shot to pieces in his last fight over ten years ago so, even as chiseled as he will no doubt make himself, God only knows what he will be like now.

people would pay to see him, out of curiosity and blood lust .. I thought Hatton had some mental health (as well as physical health) issues .. whoever gives him a licence to box again, if they do, is well out of order

Bernard Hopkins was 49 when he won his last world title fight.

That said, Hatton should definitely not fight again - madness.

Lunacy but, and a big but. If his comeback is like the Tyson V Jones junior exhibition then enough people will be daft enough to pay for it will earn him a few quid. No way can he be considering a comeback at any competitive level that is just stupid. Forget the battles the guy has had at his age alone its mental regardless of how much time he spends on a body bag getting hit by his fighters or hours he does in the gym
