Anyone watching "Gone" on ITV, last episode tonight 9pm, intriguing story line whodunnit, no doubt people watch on demand and know who the killer is, but I prefer the wait and see bit...🤔
We binged it via ITVX & thought ir was a decent series.
Looking forward to tonight's conclusion, still can't decide the killer, but some very strong characters and acting performances.
Did you think it was a lame, cop out ending @eastterrace6168 ?
Without giving any spoilers, I thought the storyline was well thought out, but the ending was not expected, and seemed to be pulled out of thin air, but the acting of the main characters had you thinking, who was the killer... would have preferred someone else, let's say that!!

Surprised there's been no mention of Last One Laughing.  Easy watching, funny TV with some hilarious moments.

A simple concept, but a good watch

One of the best things I’ve seen in ages. Properly funny.

Its enjoyable but missing something compared to the first. Maybe due to how its edited or bits of it feel a bit scripted/pre prepared. Just not quite as funny as the first season
    Know what you mean.
We really enjoyed the first series. This one is good but is definitely missing something

Think they all know the game now, it's one of the best pay days on TV, and if you win, you get another £250k for coming back next year. So it's different then the first, but still unbelievably funny. The hit job on Romesh last night was top class

Thats pretty much my thoughts exactly

Bob Mortimer nearly taking himself out got me

I'm also not sure how Diane's joker didn’t get anyone to fully crack

A one off rather than a series, and not exactly new; it was filmed in lockdown and I believe was previously on PBS but was on BBC yesterday and is now on iPlayer: My Garden of a Thousand Bees. Stunning photography and amazing insights into the different worlds of these tiny creatures. An absolutely amazing programme.
    Just watched it. Delightful!

If you want some zany, ridiculous, heart-warming fun then One Piece on Netflix is well worth a go: two series so far.

Last One Laughing has been a bit hit and miss for me, but Diane Morgan's poetry reading had me in absolute stitches.

Probably late to the party, but Girl Taken on Paramount is decent. Bleak as anything, but Alfie Allen plays a very good nutter!

    Finally watched Under Salt Marsh.
Jesus Christ what utter guff. We worked out who did it by the 3rd episode, it’s always the same. And the ginger bird can’t act for toffee.
Best thing about it was the title music.

Finally finished episode 40 /4th series of The Man in the High Castle.

Pretty mind blowing & difficult to grasp at certain points but feel I'm unlikely to have the opportunity to watch anything anywhere close to this again.

Philip K Dick was some writer.

I 100% recommend this epic & may well revisit the experience again at some point in the future.

But I have one final question ....

How will I cope without the company of the luscious Rufus Sewell every evening from now on ?  :'(

Anyone who likes nordic noir, must watch the series Detective Hole on Netflix.

A troubled cop dealing with a serial killer and bent cops in Oslo.

It's a 9 parter,  which is absolutely outstanding. Heavily recommended.

Episodes 4 and 5 were really good. I think Sam will win it but I hope Bob does (or David)

At least you had the opportunity to binge it. We had to invest two months in that shit.

Just over half way through and really enjoying it. At the moment, unlike a lot of parallel universe stuff, it doesn’t seem to be disappearing up its own arse.

And there was me thinking Rufus Sewell must be some actor as my wife absolutely devours anything he is in!

Anyone else watching St Louis DTF? Jason Bateman and David Harbour. Fresh take on the murder mystery genre. Watched the first 5 episodes. Pretty good so far.

On the 3rd episode of this. Its getting more interesting as it goes along and i really like the chopped timeline element.

Plus Linda Cardellini is fine as fuck.

Watched the first episode of ‘The Burbs. TV remake of the 1980s film.

Has a real Only Murders in the Building crossed with Tim Burton vibe. Good start and think I am going to like it.

It’s absolutely insane the amount of tv series there are to watch. So much quality stuff out there, literally only feels a couple of decades ago that any half decent drama would be restricted to 9pm on BBC1 or ITV about 5 nights a week.

I read this thread every couple of weeks for ideas and about ten new names crop up every visit

Can't stand Jack Whitehall. Terrible actor and by all accounts a complete c**t too

For anyo fans of The Wire, can't recommend We Own This City enough, its a mini series so just the 6 episodes but its so good.

Its produced by David Simon and its a dramatised version of true polic corruption in Baltimore. Its superb

Might give The Wire a rewatch too

Binge watched all 9 episodes of Detective Hole on Netflix over 2 nights.

Love all the Jo Nesbo books about this unique detective & was a bit concerned that the series wouldn't do them justice.

Slightly slow start & took a while to get used to the actor playing Harry but gradually momentum was gained and found the series an excellent watch.

Look forward to the next !
