Norwich mates
I am meeting up with 6 Norwich friends, they will not be wearing colours and are on the mature side of life, so can I get them into the Rose or Bugle Horn without hassle , I rule out Royal Oak as it has a smaller capacity.

You should be ok, unless they’re counting fingers on the doormsomerton said:I am meeting up with 6 Norwich friends, they will not be wearing colours and are on the mature side of life, so can I get them into the Rose or Bugle Horn without hassle , I rule out Royal Oak as it has a smaller capacity.

Depends if their tractor will be parked outside, as street parking isnt great.msomerton said:I am meeting up with 6 Norwich friends, they will not be wearing colours and are on the mature side of life, so can I get them into the Rose or Bugle Horn without hassle , I rule out Royal Oak as it has a smaller capacity.

you could get them in the home ends, my friends do a lot of away games so guess they have enough points or what ever Norwich fc do to prioritise.LargeAddick said:My Norwich mates couldn’t get tickets 🙁0 -
There was a few Brum in the Bugle horn the other week, no dramas .msomerton said:I am meeting up with 6 Norwich friends, they will not be wearing colours and are on the mature side of life, so can I get them into the Rose or Bugle Horn without hassle , I rule out Royal Oak as it has a smaller capacity.

Uhmm, don’t think they’d be able to keep quiet if they had a shot, corner etc. They are season ticket holders at Carrow Road but don’t do many aways hence not enough points.msomerton said:

Rose quite often check to make sure you have a home ticket before going in.msomerton said:I am meeting up with 6 Norwich friends, they will not be wearing colours and are on the mature side of life, so can I get them into the Rose or Bugle Horn without hassle , I rule out Royal Oak as it has a smaller capacity.

Yeah you won't get into the Rose without a home ticket. Bugle Horn will be fine though1

The RoD is full of knobs anyway!4

Thanks to all for advice, the closure of so many pubs in Charlton has made it tougher to meet up with friends from other teams.0

The Fox under the hill is decent, albeit a good 25 min walk to the ground, but you should be able to book a table so you're not standing.msomerton said:Thanks to all for advice, the closure of so many pubs in Charlton has made it tougher to meet up with friends from other teams.0 -

If they're getting the train down then Greenwich Spoons, Lost Hour or Woolwich Spoons. Both one stop on the train to the game. Sorted0

Would say The Plume at Maze Hill, or The River on the bottom road...both very easy to get to the ground and no issues with 'away fans' etc... Then there's the Crown at Maze Hill too....0

Not an option, closed for refurbishment, reopens Wednesday April 1st.cafc-4-life said:If they're getting the train down then Greenwich Spoons, Lost Hour or Woolwich Spoons. Both one stop on the train to the game. Sorted

Maze Hill, Westcombe Park, Charlton I thought?
Woolwich one stop on the train?
Woolwich Dockyard, Charlton?
So neither are 1 stop.2 -
They are tourists. Take them for a pint at the O2 or Greenwich and get the bus to the ground; or drink at London Bridge before the game1

Take tourists to Greenwich proper surely, rather than a soulless pint in the o2letthegoodtimesroll said:They are tourists. Take them for a pint at the O2 or Greenwich and get the bus to the ground; or drink at London Bridge before the game0 -
Meantime bar outside the entrance is decent. Then just jump on a bus to nearer the groundCroydon said:

How do so many people have Norwich friends?
I ain’t got any mates let alone in fucking Norfolk.23 -
Careful with this 'just jump on a bus' concept. You will get stuck, anywhere/ anytime with traffic as it is, especially on the Woolwich Road.AFKABartram said:

Keep the Southeastern app handy and aim for the penultimate train every time. (Someone has to stay relatively sober to remember and use the app effectively)1 -
So you’ve got Norfolking mates then?ValleyGary said:How do so many people have Norwich friends?
