This is it. We play some nice stuff in parts but just don’t release the ball, take a chance quick enough.guinnessaddick said:We’re too slow at everything we do, ends up compressing the field in front of us and no one running, so the ball goes backwards.4 -
We should go back to playing shit again, it was more effective22

Not a great deal of damage done by the team around us. We go again9
-
First thing is fuck berry off.4

All the refs love Mickey Mouse FC. All the time wasting, subs, breaks in play, and 4 minutes added on.Decent performance from us, just lacked a bit of quality in the final third.15

I must’ve watched a different first half as I thought Berry was goodcazo said:First thing is fuck berry off.17 -
We can’t be starting Berry in 2026. Just so slow at doing everything. Would be suprised if he’s playing in league 1 next year12

Very little press from Wrexham, they allowed us much more time and space than we've had for a good while. I wasn't expecting that, but such a set-up explained our starting line up.
We played well, just not our day. No complaints about our endeavour.
I'm probably more optimistic about our chances this season following this performance. Defeats for rivals helped, of course.
Referee was surely trolling us by only adding on 4 minutes. Lino loved calling fractional offsides but his eyesight struggled for fouls/pens. Sometimes you need a call in your favour, but again, wasn't our day.
Wrexham fans - my word. I'm not anti-Wrexham, quite the opposite having followed their story, but the genuine fans have been really watered down.

I was concerned about the starting line-up, am very disappointed by the result, but happy with the performance. Lots of passing, not much lumping, plenty of effort from most.
MOTM was Sinchenje for me, he's settled in amazingly quickly and plays an important part. Just needs to get NJ fit.3 -
Strange one, was great to see us actually have some intent with the ball but yet we've come away pointless.
Didn't think anyone had a bad game, main standouts were collins & campbell. Good to see cov back, midfield although not high on quality atleast looked mobile for once.

As others have said.. another day we win that 3-1 and everything looks rosy. Clarke has gotta hit the target, Berry looks like a genius shifting it past the defender but can't pull the trigger quick enough, JRC is inches away from getting on the end of a cross early in the second half..
We have been inconsistent which is why we are where we are, but this at least reminds me we have got it in us somewhere and gives me confidence we can grind out the remaining 3 or so wins we need to keep us in the division.
Would like to see Coventry and JRC involved more in the final run in.6 -
OK, will take a look. General advice though, if you have an issue, DM the mods with links to the posts concerned, as we won't necessarily come across them in a timely manner otherwise. The Red Robin said:

Pleased for the players, they showed they can play a bit, which they needed.Unlucky , and wasteful , but so much better
Feel more upbeat after today than after getting a point on tuesday

Not mad at that, we attacked we tried we gave our all. Yes quality was lacking but play more attacking like that and we will win more then we lose. Disney scum have every ref on their side but we didn’t take our chances so no excuses there.5
-
Frustrating that the last two goals we've conceded, have come within 10-15mins of us having to make a defensive switch... Sichenje being out there instead of Burke probably had less of an impact, compared to the West Brom goal, but still just a "minor" observation.2
-
We played alright today. Should have taken those chances we had in the first half, but we were creating chances, just frustrating that at times we were slowing it down, rather than moving forward faster, although we started to in the last 15 minutes a lot more. The ref didn't do us any favours either. On the whole not a bad show and onto the next one.1
-
Frustrating as we were the better team
and an actual game where we tried to attack and made chances.

We all know that ain't gonna happen!wolfgang said:Best we have played for ages. Largely kept the ball on the ground until the final gung-ho minutes. Another ten minutes and we would have won. Wrexham were shattered.
Play that well every match and we will be safe.2 -
Certainly one of the better displays we've seen recently and didn't deserve to lose. Just need better in the final third but no damage done with teams beneath us losing1
-
I know he missed a great chance, and easy to focus on that. But I do hope we can sign up Clarke longer term, I like him.30

Good overall performance but when you dominate a whole half and not score or even bother the keeper much a part from one outstanding save, you have to look squarely at the obvious problem. Our strikers couldn’t kick a ball if they saw one.2

I would say shoot him, but he’d walk away unscathed.TD_Addick said:Someone sack the shooting coach10 -
How do you sum that up .. we battered them , Wrexham are the worst team we seen this season but with a ref like that it don’t matter .. where do we start Clarke should have put us 1-0 up … there was a nasty foul on Bell who was left limping for a while after but no card .. there was one or two other fouls where no action was taken so it was no surprise when Coventry wins the ball and gets booked !!! Then the goal Campbell gets fouled on the edge of their box nothing given suddenly Wrexham break and goal .. but second half the ref really went up a notch there were two clear pen one when the defence clearly punched the ball out of the box and the foul on Clarke who was hacked down as he charged into the box … shocking decsions then our big moment lovely cross Campbell 3 yards out somehow heads over when easier to score ..it was one way traffic and in the last mins a shot through a crowded area from Carey hit the driving keepers arm somehow the ball went wide it was class save but very lucky
No justice for the boys today deserved to take the 3 points not just one .. but I hope the ref enjoys his free American Holiday .4 -
My youngest and his missus got the train down to the game from Crewe this morning and they were surrounded by the wankers. He best summed them up as 'wrong'uns'.Er_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:Very little press from Wrexham, they allowed us much more time and space than we've had for a good while. The best we've played for ages. Kept the ball on the deck for the most part and really should have scored from at least Berry and Clarke's excellent openings. Clarke really does make some good runs but his finishing is sorely lacking.
Surprised not many mentions of the officials, who I thought were terrible, from the linesmen flagging phantom offsides, to the ref ignoring their time wasting and missing the foul on TC in the passage of play leading to their goal, to the 4th official somehow thinking there was only 4 minutes of injury time.
Mannion had a good game and seemed to be a reassuring presence for the defence. Sichenje and Jones were both excellent, let's hope both Sichenje and Bell's injuries aren't enough to put them on the sidelines.
Dykes has been excellent for us but thought he was largely ineffective today, until the end of game pile-on, at least. Leaburn put himself about well but showed a lack of composure with what was a tricky opportunity. I thought it was one of TC's best games of the season overall, especially in the first half. Thought Carey's late slot was a nailed on goal but their keeper made a great save.
Overall, a draw would have been a fair result. Thank god the results around mean we still have a nice cushion from the relegation zone.5 -
Farai Hallam must need a new watch...as when he kept pointing to it when they were wasting time, I assumed that meant he would add it on.13
-
That was a rather gutting, we got shithoused today, how the ref only gave 4mins after the subs and time wasting is beyond me, I never cared one way or the other for Wrexham but now have such a dislike about everything about them. When we moved the ball quicker we did well. Wish Conor Coventry would play forward more tends to slow things down, other than that he did well. Not Burkes fault but his agent has really pulled our pants down on that deal the fella is glass.1

No need for a paragraph this time.
We should have won that game.3 -
People are saying it to be ironic, in as much as they are fed up with people continuously having digs at Kaminski.LittleAddick said:Baffled by people's suggestions that Mannion could have saved that to be frank - even more baffled by suggestions Kaminski (remember the last minute goal at Pompey away) would have got a hand to it.
I’m surprised you haven’t twigged that.0 -
It feels like jones needs to get an attacking coach. We never look fluid or have any ideas. All individuals up there.charltonkeston said:Good overall performance but when you dominate a whole half and not score or even bother the keeper much a part from one outstanding save, you have to look squarely at the obvious problem. Our strikers couldn’t kick a ball if they saw one.The only move i can see is dykes comes short, long ball and tc runs in behind, which only worked once a few games ago when the defendet made a mistake4
