I have visions our our RonnieMoore and Huddersfield's equivalent forum poster cooking up headlines for each other to use

Not sure about Knibbs and we probably haven’t seen enough of him yet to decide. All action or a bit of a headless chicken? I can’t decide.

Cawley saying he doubts the Bosnian link is true and if we were to bring in a striker his money would be on Dykes

I'm sure a playoff chasing League 1 side would love to sign Harvey Knibbs in January but why would we give up on him after half a season?
  • Knibbs & Apter have huge potential I think & we need to add to our squad not sell or loan. Hope this doesn’t happen!

I would rather wait and see what league we are in before acting on the likes of Apter and Knibbs. If we go down, they would be key pieces in an automatic promotion push.

Unless we spend 5 million on an established championship midfielder we won’t get anything better than Knibbs. He scored I think 15 goals from midfield & had numerous assists in a team that were under a transfer embargo in division 1. At least he has a portfolio worth being patient with & nurturing in the championship.

Also look at how players like Gillesphey and Anderson (in League one admittedly) finished the season much stronger than they started it last time round, or JRC finding form recently. It's not impossible that at least one or the other of Apter and Knibbs similarly finds their feet (well re-finds in Apters case.)

    This 100%

We haven't seen the best of either of them in m opnion. They may fail to really get there, but think back to the number of players in English football who had an underwhelming start to their time somewhere only to become great players.

Apter particulary has shown glimpses. We need to be patient

Apter is a very good player and has been very unlucky with Edwards injury, otherwise I'm sure we'd have seen alot more of him - expect to see more of him again once Edwards and Ramsey are back

Think Apter might be the strongest technical player in our squad, he can really get sweet contact. Knibbs I'm not sold on yet but also concede I think there is a lot more to come from him. This is his first go at this level and think if we can stay up we might see more consistency from him next season

I think as well given our Injury problems this season, it would be foolish to let anyone who isn't an U21, like Rylah or Laqeretabua leave on loan  - Especially the likes of Apter / Knibbs, as they may not be starters, but if you take them off the bench... Who are you replacing them with?

Knibbs is a luxury in the squad, when we already have Carey, Berry and Fullah who can play in that position. IF we could get a good fee, and use the money elsewhere, where we are desperately thin in numbers or quality, I wouldn't be against it.

I'm not sure it would make sense to loan him out though, as the wage savings wouldn't go far.

I want to see Knibbs get more game time. His goals/minutes ratio must be best at the club. We’re hardly blessed with goals

I’m not willing to give up on him yet plus we won’t recoup anywhere near the 1.7m we paid for him or whatever it was. IF he goes anywhere it’ll only be on loan.

I'd take Knibbs over Berry every day of the week. Knibbs is our second top scorer despite barely playing, and yet somehow NJ gives Berry three starts in a row - an opportunity Knibbs has never enjoyed.
  • I know Carey is a fans favourite especially with his goals but for me I just see a player who runs a lot. In that position we could do with an Andy Reid, Paul Mortimer, Colin Walsh. We need a baller not an athlete.
  • So difficult to judge players that are only getting the odd minutes here and there, personally would like to see knibbs have a few starts in a row and see if he can play himself into form, he has to be a better option than Berry who looks way past it at this level.

If knibbs can perfect his get outpaced and pull shirt technique in training more he will get more starts I reckon.

The only midfielder prepared to hold onto the ball and then look for the  pass seems to be JRC, wonder if he has ever played as a 10,might suit him as he’s not the quickest.then have Coventry, knibbs or Carey.
