Yeah he would have been a great right wing back for us wouldn't heRed_Chester said:I can’t believe we aren’t trying to get JRS in and letting him go to Swansea22 -

You'll be thinking the same when Marc Leonard goes to Norwich or Sheffield United.Red_Chester said:I can’t believe we aren’t trying to get JRS in and letting him go to Swansea
These types of players are out of our reach unfortunately. Need to find diamonds in the rough like Kayne and Edwards.
People get paid a lot of money to do this, so hopefully they can do it again.9 -
We need to bring back Kevin Foley and Andrew Crofts in the double pivot.16

Be interesting to see who takes the risk and how far he moves. Blackburn maybe?Scoham said:https://x.com/footballleaguew/status/2008499321726267497?s=46&t=A-w3Eq0EWWpjMxring904QFLW claiming Barnsley are looking to cash in on Davis Keillor-Dunn0 -
Would almost certainly be an upgrade on Carey, Knibbs and Berry in the 10 role, and can also slot into the wide striker role that TC and Kelman play, but we're looking for a more physical striker with hold up play and aerial dominance, so unless we sell/move along a couple of those players I can't see him being a fit hereScoham said:https://x.com/footballleaguew/status/2008499321726267497?s=46&t=A-w3Eq0EWWpjMxring904QFLW claiming Barnsley are looking to cash in on Davis Keillor-Dunn2 -
Sports boom (whoever they are) are claiming us, Birmingham and Sheff Utd are interested in DKD

Would be surprised if DKD wants to move south. That was mentioned in the summer as a major stumbling block5

Of that list I expect him to go Sheffieldfenaddick said:Sports boom (whoever they are) are claiming us, Birmingham and Sheff Utd are interested in DKD

I can't believe we'd be in for another player in that position. We've already got a lot of them.5

He plays as a striker for Barnsley, and we are definitely looking for a striker. I don’t think there’s any way he’d be a 10 for us in the championship given the defensive responsibility that position has in our setup up. He’d be a striker signing in our setupChunes said:I can't believe we'd be in for another player in that position. We've already got a lot of them.
Tbh I don’t think that’s the profile of striker we are looking for so it’s probably bullshit. These rumours always have at least 3 clubs linked mainly just to drive clicks from multiple fanbases5 -
An upgrade, but we already have 3 people who can play that No 10 position, plus Apter and Fullah who can also play there. Plus Kelman (and Godden) as goal scoring, mobile strikers.sam3110 said:

Up front, despite some of the unrealistic comments on here, the issue has never been finishing, but creating the chances in the first place.11 -
Palace wouldn't send him to us. It doesn't look like he's got a future there so they will want to place him somewhere where he is going to get as many goals and assists as possible as that will boost his value for when they sell him. We are not the club for that and he will have plenty of other championship teams interested that create more chances and score more goals than we doRed_Chester said:I can’t believe we aren’t trying to get JRS in and letting him go to Swansea2 -
If a player is better than what we have in any position and he is available to us, then we’d be stupid to not act on it, even if we have good numbers in a particular position, not many of our attacking mids. have really staked a claim so couldn’t complain if dropped/ moved on.5

I was excited by the idea of DKD before, not now.
You have to be a certain level of League 1 player to adjust to this league, especially as an attacker. Defenders and Midfielders seem to make the jump far more smoother.
We don't create enough chances and don't have enough of the ball for someone like DKD to work imo.
Kelman looked like a goal machine in League 1 yet he has struggled a lot in this league, and only just started to show why we signed him, he's a different level of finisher to DKD as well, far more rounded.
We need a striker who has a bit about him and can get stuck in, not another lightweight, without being harsh.
That said, it ain't my money, and I would rather have him than not, as 11 goals already this season is hard to ignore.0 -
Agree with this, all of our strikers have shown they can finish through their careers - our biggest issue is the current set up, in particular the 5 at the back, has drained all creativity out of the side.killerandflash said:

There are not many strikers who create their own goals, certainly not consistently, so if NJ wants to stick with this formation we need some proper wingbacks who can do both sides of the job.6 -

We are already finding out what a gamble it is to hope league 1 players step up, not sure why we would continue that policy, unless of course they really believe that player makes the step up better than the ones we have signed already.Braziliance said:I was excited by the idea of DKD before, not now.

May be they should approach West Ham about Wilson. He would suite us, an over age out of form player.1

Callum Wilson is the definition of injury prone striker. Probably end up going back to Cov or something.0
