Makes it 11 out on loan currently. Almost Chrlsea-esq.1 -
Casey’s goals at 3:12 and 4:24, the first a poachers goal and the second a more difficult finish with his weaker left foot.
Good to see he seems to have settled into that level after his first loan didn’t work out.
Given we kept Hobden and Bower then loaned them out, I wouldn’t be surprised if we offer him a new deal with the intention of a loan at a higher level next season.

Can’t beat them booming out some Sunshine on Leith (in the pissing rain) such a good anthem

Kanu scores4

Dixon being an unused sub in a Crawley side that hasn't won in 9 games in all comps is rather worrying. I know they had Harry McKirdy on the bench tonight who they'd probably use over him anyway but this loan after starting well really hasn't panned out.4

Apparently a screamer as wellfenaddick said:Kanu scores0 -

I don’t doubt he’ll be able to step up to L1, but the Championship is another question entirely.9 -

Tc cuts in on his right and would put that wrong side of the post, Leaburn would try some skills and set that back to someone, Tanto flashes that miles over the bar and Kelman would have a tame shot on his weaker side. No matter what level that opponent is they don’t affect that quality of strikeScoham said:https://youtu.be/RdV_8LYRkjE?si=Ic8DMyHWtY4XfLFTSkip to 1:11 - outrageous finish, he must be playing full of confidence to shoot from there and strike it so well.

Unfortunately that analysis of what each of our current lot would do is spot on.Crispywood said:

I'd still be erring towards not recalling him. Would be feeding off scraps playing up top for us, best left to fire Walsall to promotion and we see where things are in the summer if both him and Mbick have hit 15+Scoham said:https://youtu.be/RdV_8LYRkjE?si=Ic8DMyHWtY4XfLFTSkip to 1:11 - outrageous finish, he must be playing full of confidence to shoot from there and strike it so well.

Some players are just natural strikers & will score at any level. Defoe scored hatfulls for lowly Bournemouth when he was first loaned out by West Ham. Not saying Kanu is in his class but sometimes you can just tell.Scoham said:https://youtu.be/RdV_8LYRkjE?si=Ic8DMyHWtY4XfLFTSkip to 1:11 - outrageous finish, he must be playing full of confidence to shoot from there and strike it so well.

(would Leaburn or Olaofe have scored 10 for Walsall in similar circumstances)0 -
Jesus wept... Kanu had absolutely no right to score from that sort of angle?1

Olaofe scored 20 in L2 for Stockport in 23/24 and Leaburn 12 in L1 for us in 22/23 (only season he made over 30 league appearances) so although Kanu is the most natural goalscorer of the three, I think all of them would score goals at that level.golfaddick said:

They’d all score goals at that level but the difference is the type of goals, Kanu is also playing in a Walsall side which is the L2 equivalent of us they actually average less possession than we do, Kanu is showing he can work off scraps our other forwards have shown they need serviceScoham said:

Goal Pat Casey. Really nice finish from 6 yards5

Ollie Hobden sent off for 2 yellows for Farnborough at Horsham1

All jokes aside if we do go down, absolutely no excuses not to bounce back instantly and with minimal fuss with the options we would have at that level.

Saw mbick at Crawley on boxing day. Didn't impress much tbh, but put himself about a bit. Got booked for needlessly clattering into someone. Oddly he was playing more of a #10 role though. Lisbie looked good for Colchester.1
