Well I’m sure your mush was on it a few times if you were standing near Giles so you can’t moan. I’m sure it was you.

That’s probably what broke it! 😭

You’re not wrong. My mooey is enough to turn anything off my friend.

Yes. I had lots of texts and messages that I was on the box. I’m only 2 along from Giles.

To make matters worse, it was only our game that was affected.😡😡😡
    That’s not true.
    I stand corrected.

It looked like ours was the worst affected.
I dipped into 2 or 3 of the others but eventually all the Championship games had 'issue with your connection' poxy effing liars
Got it back just in time to see Apter break down the wing and Boro's defender and goalie balls up bigtime with Miles Leaburn not getting close enough to challenge
    Then it went down again
Murdoch's tv business just gets worse and worse
  • Just to clarify for the record, Kirsty, as always in house matters won out in love it or leave it 🙄

When the Charlton stream died I tried switching over to the Norwich game (but still with the Charlton TV commentary coming through the speaker) but that wouldn't work.

At some point in the second half I tried all of the Championship matches and a couple of random Third Division fixtures but the only ones that worked were the two matches being broadcast on the main channels.

Grandson no 2 had come round to watch the game with me (instead of us making the 6½-hour, 280-mile round-trip) but he was able to watch more of it than I could because he tapped into his Now TV stream instead of the 'black screen of poop' that I had courtesy of Sky.

They love to bang their drum about how great they are and how many games they cover but so many of the ones on plus are affected by a myriad of issues.. I'm sure that this rarely if ever happens to Premier League games.  If they can't do it properly they shouldn't do it at all. It's high time the clubs had complete control over their matches and cut out all the middle men.

Don't forget those early-season matches where the stream cut out as the clock ticked around to 90' because they didn't seem to factor in stoppage time to the broadcast.

A bit like our defence the season before last

  • Not sure if it's just been me but as well as last nights fiasco, I've had a load of freezing in previous night games.

Not had any trouble for the Saturday games but the evening ones have been hopeless.

If I get a  chance I'm going to phone up tomorrow and ask for some money back!

It's very strange. I stream through Now TV and had no issues at all.

Purchase the Charlton TV match…the feed was perfect and it helps the club.

I think it’s because the EFL stuff is on a glorified mobile app they’ve jammed into a Sky Box. Now TV is a bit more advanced than that.

Interestingly the club's YouTube channel have still not added highlights from Tuesday's game, but the Sky Sports Football channel has them. Also, this is always longer than the club's highlights for some reason.

Just to let you know, I had this reply from Sky Wednesday morning.

    Good Afternoon Paul,

Thank you for your email to Sky Sports.

Last night, customers watching EFL streams experienced disrupted
    coverage due to technical issues.
We're sorry for any inconvenience caused to those trying to watch.

If you would like to discuss your account further, please contact our
customer service team on 03442 41 41 41, who will be happy to assist
    you.

Thanks, once again, for taking the time to contact Sky.

    Kind regards,

    Laura

I did get round to phoning Sky today.

Pressed every button until I got through to a human being and eventually they gave me a £15 credit.

In honesty, not sure it was actually worth the stress of trying to get through to talk to someone or the agony of trying to make the person understand why i wanted compensation!

Anyway, Sky really do need to sort this out as you can see on the Sky Forum they really are p******g off a lot of people.

Did this with a last minute super Concorde trip to the Czech Republic for the second half and it worked way better than Sky Sports+

  • The Sky coverage is pretty poor most weeks, Virtually no build up, and the commentators do not do much at half time, except play the highlights. I have mentioned this for the past couple of weeks on the match day thread. Like others I kept loosing the picture, and I have high speed fibre. There were a lot of matches on the midweek game against 'Boro', has there been a response from Sky?
They have just  put up the subscription up by a few quid as well ( as is there right). Come on Sky get your act together?
