Let's hope it's as dramatic as the world cup draw. I'm seeing Chelmsford Vs WSM, so hopefully Mr Taylor scores a few... Though we are in lousy form so not expecting much

Could we please play at 3pm on a Saturday whoever we play.
    That will do for me
  • Just the one Non-League team through to the 3rd Round today, with Weston-Super-Mare beating Chelmsford

Sutton could still join them, they're 0-0 with Shrewsbury at the moment

Whilst one Slough or Macclesfield will be in the draw given they face each other tomorrow

Boreham Wood, Gateshead, Carlisle and Brackley each play tomorrow or Monday so could yet add to the number.

Shrewsbury equalised in the 91st minute, Sutton had a player sent off via a second yellow for delaying a free kick being taken in the 93rd. Then in extra time the Sutton goal scorer gave the ball away to Marquis in their own box to make it 2-1, and then another Sutton player got a straight red for elbowing Chuks in the head. So having avoided the Lyle Taylor derby, and the Chris Powell derby (Luton got knocked out on pens), the Michael Appleton/Chuks Aneke derby is still on.

I thought the draw was on BBC1. When is it then?

    Edit:
    • 5 December 2025

The 2025-26 FA Cup third round draw will take place on Monday, 8 December at approximately 18:40 GMT.

Proceedings will take place before kick-off in the second-round tie between Brackley Town and Burton Albion, the last of this weekend's matches.

Former England internationals Joe Cole and Peter Crouch will conduct the draw that will consist of 64 teams.

The 20 winners of the second-round ties will be joined by all 20 Premier League clubs and 24 Championship teams in the third round.

All matches will be played around the weekend commencing Saturday, 10 January 2026.

Unlike in previous years, there are no replays if matches end as a draw. All ties will go to extra-time and if necessary, a penalty shootout.

There are 11 non-league teams in the second round, with at least two guaranteed to feature in the third round.

National League South side Slough Town host Macclesfield from the National League North, while National League South duo Chelmsford City and Weston-Super-Mare also face each other for a place in the prestigious third round.

Talking with my son earlier & I think the FA need to take a leaf out of FIFA's book when it comes to Cup draws. How refreshing would it be if.......

No teams in the same League can be drawn together.

No teams who have played each other in the last 5 seasons can be drawn together.

     And so on.

And you can't play a team containing any of your ex players.

So basically Luton Town can only face teams from League Two (or lower)

Things going alright for my odd betting slip. Had Lando wining the F1 championship, Selby to beat Trump (currently 5 frames up but world no 1 could come back) and Borham wood to beat Newport, 2 nill to the wood at half time.

If only Sutton realised they ain’t Man City. Gave that away to the Millwall man.
If a premier league player scored it, todays at Slough would win it (goal of the cup)
Watching Gateshead ATM and it is such a shame how athletic tracks kill a game of football.
    Same applies to Chelmsford.
R.e. WSM, lovely ground and nice day out. Cab or long walk from the station.

We're not going win it so maybe a semi decent premier league side away . Everton cos of their new ground or maybe spurs.

Fancy an early exit this year, anyone will do. Concentrate on the league, save the fans some money and no messing about. (No fun to be had without Chelmsford in the hat)

After the Cambridge capitulation, I can't see NJ putting out a strong side, so would rather go out having played someone decent, than go out in embarrassing style to a L1 or L2 team!
  • (A) to Wigan Athletic or Doncaster Rovers is my bet
