My son has heard of him & says he was great on Fifa a few years back.

    That's good enough for me.
On FIFA? How is that possible ? Guadeloupe is not affiliated to FIFA as it's a part of France.
Guadeloupe is part of CONCACAF rather than Fifa but recently played Jamaica in the Gold Cup. Anyway, Golfie is talking about the video game
Yes, it’s part of CONCACAF and can play in the Gold Cup. No country is part of FIFA, but affiliated to FIFA. Guadeloupe can not be affiliated to FIFA because it is not an independent country.

Guadeloupe, Guyana and Martinique do not have a football federation; they are affiliated to the FFF.  Tahiti and New Caledonia do have a football federation so they can be ( and are) affiliated to FIFA. All of these territories are part of France, the people are French citizens with equal rights, but it is a peculiarity of sporting organisation. Personally I do not agree with it. If they want an independent football team then they should become independent from France.

I know he’s talking about a video game but the makers of the video game clearly know little about it either then, or perhaps they don’t want it to represent reality. Guadeloupe is not like Jamaica and should not be on the game.
Which is why France is the third closest country to the USA, after Mexico and Canada.
  • Thought we’d get into double figure page numbers before we started debating decolonisation tbh

fingers crossed - glad the club are doing something to help get us through this sticky patch - even if it doesn't work out, at least they're trying and by the looks of it, this chap has got some real quality - all about what condition he's in i guess

made some comments in the match preview .. this could be a MAJOR signing for us .. certainly like pulling a rabbit from a hat, good scouting and/or good liaision with his agent

Also England isn't an independent country but has it's own football team as do Wales, Scotland and Norn.

UEFA, CONCAF and FIFA are not the UN
It’s a good point, and part of a good debate, I think.

I don’t see why some think that bringing this up is misplaced on a thread about a player from Guadeloupe, which has an international team but isn’t a country. If such a discussion had to get ’cleaned up’ by the mods as @Garrymanilow suggests then it would only be due to posts like that of @arny23394 which start to get unnecessarily insulting. Others in my position might insult him back and that’s when a thread gets ’unclean.’  Disagree with me by all means however. It’s what a forum is all about, isn’t it? Discussion, agreeing and disagreeing.

I mean if we need to take a gamble on a short term player to cover a gap then surely its better that we try someone with a decent pedigree and a proven record over some clogger washing around the lower leagues looking for a last payday.

I'm not saying it will definitely work out but even if he's not at his absolute best any more then he should at least be adequate.

Guess NJ didn’t get the memo about how major a signing he is!!
  • If this means that Gillesphey and Hernández—and his gigantic arse—are firmly planted on the bench, I am pleased.

Wasn't aware of the pick up point for the coach today and got left behind i have heard. Badly missing Tracey and her influence behind the scenes clearly. Should be fine for the home game next week.

He was literally training on the pitch at Coventry? What are you on about?

Bonkers why he wasn’t on the bench. Logical replacement when Bell went off. Instead we end up with square pegs in round holes.

Harvey Knibbs had a tight calf and needed to come off at half-time.

New signing Jerome Roussillon set to play some minutes in midweek for the U21s. #cafc

Shame he's not already done that, seeing we've had a few U21 games these last few weeks.

Just what I had heard. No-one had his number so couldnt contact him. Must have made his own way to Cov but by then teams were handed in?

given how long it took to get a replacement for Bell on the pitch this wouldn't surprise me

It was a condition of being allowed into the country. You know they are tightening up.

Coach must have gone back for him or he caught it up? Honestly though indicates a lack of organisation behind the scenes. He should have been issued with a club phone before today so they all get on the coach together.
  • Is Jerome pronounced as in ‘Robson & Jerome’ or Jero-me as in Beadle?
we could sing watch out Beadles about
I’ll get the lyrics in a word doc to hand out to the fans.
    I’ll do it in shorthand.
Not a single lol for this gem. Made me laugh anyway mate.

Heard from whom exactly? Especially when someone has said they saw him get off the coach with the rest of the players so obviously there when the teams were handed in.
