Think we still have a chance here. If we can expose their susceptibility to pace we can create a few chances

Yes thats it... Complain about TC's inability to pass, rather than the pass that should have found him sooner
Don’t be so ridiculous it’s a major issue with him and always has been, he can never pick the pass let alone actually do it.just because he’s one of our own!! If we signed him he would be getting pelters and deservedly so.

It’s a shame because we looked well in it until the injury. Hopefully it’s not serious as we look helpless when any of Ramsay, Jones or Bell are missing.

Costello for Oloafe at half time. At least then we can keep our normal shape.
No coincidence that we looked best with TC and Oloafe up top. If we want anything he has to go back there.
Oloafe's contribution was a powder puff shot in a scoring position. We need another defender on the pitch.
  • Still in the game at HT. I’ll take it. Second half Leaburn hatrick.
  • This defeat is on jones!
what’s the point of swapping defenders positions hence changing shape that was working so well!!!!
why not just bring on rankin in a position he has played in for years and continue. Rankin must be sitting there wondering why he is here???😡

It would be 2-0 without TC on the pitch...

If Carey had passed to TC sooner, there was a good chance that TC was getting in behind the Coventry backline... Instead he's forced to check because he was offside - Carey was someone we signed, so why isnt he getting pelters for missing the opportunity?

First 25 minutes I thought we were fantastic. That is the exact formula we should be using against these top sides.

Bell, alongside Lloyd, is the key to us playing that back 5. Gutting he’s injured and hope it’s just a small knock.

Unless we change back to Tanto and TC up top we will definitely lose this game. Doubt that happens.

Our lack of end product is concerning it could have been 0-3 at one point and I’m sure coventry would have finished those chances if it was them.

It's not just Bell's injury that's caused this problem, it's the signing of Reece Burke.
Agreed, we can't really complain about bad luck with injuries because we've signed players who have poor injury records, what was seriously the point in signing Burke.

To do that it sounds like we’d need to get Leaburn off and get more pace in the team.

    Square pegs, round holes.

Why move TC from the position he was getting some results?
Why put Olafe so far back?
Why bring Leaburn on when you lose a defender?

None of this seems to make any sense, we've lost all shape and players don't know what they're being asked to do.
  • Don’t think this is a complete write off like the last couple of games, haven’t seemed to put our heads down yet. Just haven’t rated leaburn lately, barely provides anything up front.

Real shame losing Bell again, having him back made such a difference. Let's hope Roussillon is up to speed by the Pompey game. I think it was a bit of a mistake changing shape the way we did, I'd rather Hernandez had come on and just been told to stay home like he did against Saints and kick people, or JRC come on at RWB and put Bree on the left. At least that wouldn't have put us at sixes and sevens trying to play a different way against the best side in the league

Still got into that position though. We had them on the back foot which was really impressive.

  • Very strange that with 9 subs, we couldn't find one defender to name. Cant our under21s like Gough or Laquertabua be trusted?

And if that was strange  bringing on Leaburn was surely even more strange. Made no sense to me.
  • I feel so sorry for Steve Browns throat. He don't half go on. Love him though

Stupid risking Bell today. For a game that we can afford to lose.
Never get this. Every game is the same and worth three points.
And we were 1 nil up when he went off

    Well spotted Sherlock

Yet if Campbell wasn't on the pitch, we wouldn't have gone 0-1 up - Or I suspect you'd think that someone else would have magically had been in the same spot, to find the ball through to Knibbs even if it was a bit lucky

You're just desperate to whinge about Campbell when he's had a decent half

Rankin Costello isn’t a LB/LWB. The question should be why wasn’t Rousselon on the bench at the very least?

They will give us a chance 2nd half because they’re are genuinely bottom half side at the back. Just need to be good enough to take it and not concede another 2 or 3 in the process 😂

Remind me how many goals and chances TC puts away, how can you predict he would have scored?

Who says he would have scored, and not gotten an assist...? - Given he's got four of those now and is top of that "table" for us - Terrible stat for someone with an "inability to pass" as you put it

Christ sake TC, 2 yard pass straight to their player and we’re up against it again
    That "pass"was utterly abysmal.

I don't think we would. I think you can shuffle the pieces a bit and play a 442 diamond to get the pace around him. Put Tanto next to him and TC as the 10, that also creates more space for Carey to drive into

TC absolutely makes mistakes. Probably too many to be considered a good option at this level.

However, when he does get it right he’s absolutely key to our attacking threat.

It really doesn’t help that he’s being asked to do so much defensively too.
