Surely Roussillon isn’t going to start?1
-
He’s been training with us for a few weeks. Realistically if we are to get a result then we need a proper left back playing, he’ll be fitter than Bell is. I’d expect they will share the 90 minutes, Roussillon maybe doing 60 and then Bell 30se9addick said:Surely Roussillon isn’t going to start?7 -
Should expect to get beat tomorrow. That will leave us on 23 points from 18 games.
Last season we were also on 23 points from 18 games and look how the remaining 28 games of the season panned out.
Still a long way to go.12 -
I know we’re likely to get beat, but I just want the team to make Coventry work for it. Be aggressive, be horrible, get in their faces and although I’m sure their quality will shine through, let them get off the pitch at the end of the game having known they hard to work hard for it.
I think that the most important thing is to keep it tight past the opening 20. It’s probably going to be playing on their minds after the last 2 games, but be ultra focused on being organised and disciplined. I know we have injuries, but it would be extremely unprofessional to repeat the same mistakes of the last two.I’ve no doubt Lampard has seen the nightmare of our starts to the last two games, so will have them up and at us from the off, but Jones should know that and be ready with a plan. It’s games like this where I wish we had a Vinny Jones type player in the centre of the park, just to rough them up a bit8 -
He’ll be in the squad at the very least otherwise there’s no point signing him now4
-
I do wonder what would have happened on Tues if we had kept it 0-0 to half time. And that has to be the plan here. They expect a win, we expect a defeat. Lets see. 4 in a row? Probably but it might be tighter than they would like. 2-0 to Coventry.3

This is exactly the sort of game we'll get something from1
-
It will be a tough one against a club that are pretty much Champions elect. I'm pleased for Coventry and their long suffering fans that they are doing so well particularly after their solidarity with us a few years back. Hopefully they won't mind a little blip tomorrow to assist some old pals and then they can get back to storming the league afterwards. Pretty please!2

Oxford currently winning. We're in real trouble2

bloody lose to them .. and would not surprise me if we got something .. but with the injuries showing no sign of improving until Christmas on paper and form it’s impossible task .Coventry have scored 4/5 against far better teams then us and hopefully think they won before the game starts ..
we had little luck in the past 3 games and poor ref decisions at Wrexham and Stoke at key moments in the game ..so we need everything to go our way tomorrow if we got anybody sort of chance ..
team think he got to go and try and keep it tight relaying on break away moments , … the longer we frustrate them more chance of a surprise ..
451 ……..

Apter and Knibbs for the break away option .. Carey playing more forward role .My prediction .. 1-2 shock win if we don’t concede in the first 25 mins .. just got a strange feeling
...must be the mutton vindaloo...0 -
Cov missing important players. So you’re telling me there’s a chance…..0

All these references to stranger things.....
Let's hope Eleven doesn't turn up tomorrow.0 -
Just hope our goal difference doesn't take too much of a beating0

Absolute last person we need right now when there's harsh realities to deal with that can only get worse by 5pm tomorrow.sm said:One of the joys of supporting Charlton is that Mr Optimism can turn up when least expected.0 -
I’ve said all along we could go 5 games undefeated and 5 games without a win…. The way it’s heading it could be 5 without a point …
toohtless up front all season and now there are leaks in the defence .
double down on this Coventry 1.43 on betfair …. Is buying money0 -
I was at the Wrexham game we were not unlucky. We were lucky to be 0-0 at the point of the hand ball. ByWalkingred said:Lots of negativity again on here, I understand it to a degree but last time I noticed it on here we went to Sheffield United and came back with 3 points.
The Wrexham game we were unlucky, could have been 1 nil up but the illness in the squad took its toll 2nd half and we went on to lose after a moment of madness. Southampton was a bad day but I don't think the Stoke result was a fair assessment of us, we didn't really do anything wrong in the first 5 minutes but found ourselves 2 down and the game was over. I don't expect us to win tomorrow, or even draw but I do expect a reaction of some sort. No point risking Bell tomorrow, just make sure he's fit to start against Portsmouth. Again, there isn't a single person on here who wouldn't have taken being 4 points off a play off spot after 17 games played at the start of the season.0 -
Look how they scored their first goal.....Ipswich players dicking about with it at the back. Why managers continue with this shit I'll never know.MrBurns said:Oxford currently winning. We're in real trouble
Tomorrow I'd go 442 & play it like a cup tie. Hoof the ball forward at every opportunity & send Kaminski up for corners. Do something different & make them work us out. If we try to do what we've been doing lately we'll come a cropper.
Think outside the box.0 -

I do wonder whether we’ve looked so poor over these last two games because we’ve been training with Roussillon involved for the last five weeks. With him being the first proper left-sided defender we’ve had since Edwards's injury, the team’s shape in training might’ve finally felt balanced — but then on matchday, without him available, we’ve gone straight back to being lopsided. It no wonder the players have looked like strangers as sometimes one missing piece of the jigsaw can throw the whole thing off.0 -
Maybe with the Roussillon signing, we can play players in their natural positions. I'd like to see Apter as a No. 10, for example.2
-
Nice to play someone that Jones hasn’t managed…0-0 would be good, 0-1 even better 🙏1
-
We are going to get absolutely pumped. Dreading it.0
-
Just like Stoke I'd take 2-0 right now0
-
There is no such thing as foregone conclusion, football doesn't work like that, lets just hope our ultra leader Nathan has some masterplan how to unravel Fat Franks sky blue league leaders. Nathan will have had physio triple wrapping his fingers to stop him biting one off and he will be in the hotel and probably touchline praying for a football miracle.....COYA's we can do it !2

Worth a quid 😉🤣8 -
There's every chance we could win wit a smash and grab, but most corners? I don't think so, leave that part outking addick said:
