No, won't be opening for the near future. It's all got a bit messy.

Are they raiding the pub?  I thought it was all boarded up?

It is. There were 5 car loads of Police including plain clothes. Something strange going on.
The Star and Garter in Greenwich has squatters in residence who are refusing to leave.

To reopen next year after a complete refurb.
The building is of 'Historical interest' so has to remain as a pub the same as the area beside has to stay as industrial.
    Was for sale for 1.8m.
I've just been told this by someone in the know so should be reliable.

So it has been bought by someone else? I cant remember if i have said this before but I have been wondering if someone like Young's would come and buy it up as they do like the river pubs.

I park near by and have lost count the amount of away fans I’ve stopped walking up there unaware of its closure, I’m too nice, however I would refuse to do it for the spanner’s, nigels, Wrexham, brum and the massives

One of my favourite bits of last season was some Bertie big beans Wrexham gobshite giving it ‘banter’ only to be directed in the completely wrong direction down a dead end in search of thr away end

I used to like the seafood stall. I'm guessing that won't come back :(

That’s such a shame. Such a great pub.

Ffs. Get the buggers out and get that boozer trading. Look at the crowds we getting now, could be doing a roaring trade with f all effort on matchdays.

The pub would need to trade profitably for the other 342 days of the year as well to be sustainable. There lies the rub for most failing pubs - regrettably.

Every time I walk my dogs along there (once a week minimum, sometimes more) it's absolutely deserted
