Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool have been playing in the ATP Finals in Turin.
The finals comprise the top 8 singles players (no British interest given Draper's injury) and the top 8 doubles pairs.
They play a round robin (bit like World Cup or Euros groups in football) comprising 2 groups of 4 each. The top 2 in each group proceed to the semi finals.
Cash and Glasspool won 2 of their 3 round robin matches so will participate in the semi finals.
Joe Salisbury and Neil Skupski have played and won their first two matches (in the other group) so should also reach the semi finals regardless of the result of their third round robin match tomorrow.
An all British doubles pair has never won this tournament could this be the year? Cash and Glasspool will finish the season as the World number 1 doubles pair regardless of what else happens in the remainder of the tournament so perhaps there is a chance.
Incidentally Cash and Glasspool are the first all British team to be ranked World number 1 doubles pair.3 -

Seem to be far better at doubles than singles in the UK. Doubles seems to have a far lower profile in modern tennis.LenGlover said:Joe Salisbury and Neil Skupski won the all British semi final against Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool. 6-7 (3-7) 6-3, 10-8 earlier today.
