Last time out it was the Town Crier opposite the station. I think we're aiming for there again tomorrowbobmunro said:Me and my boys - 11.45 from Crewe, drinking in Chester. What's going to be the most popular pub?
Yes, that was going to be our default choice. Aiming to get there around midday and then get the 14.22 which gets in to Wrexham at 14.362 -
Last ground to complete tomorrow so that I have seen us at all the current Championship and League One grounds
Will then make 82 of the current 92 grounds that I have seen Charlton at.
Will also then be 87 of the current 92 clubs that I have seen Charlton at.
Plus another 29 grounds that no longer exist or clubs/grounds that are now outside the 92 but saw them watching Charlton when they were league clubs at the time
Also Ancona in the Anglo Italian Cup and Shamrock Rovers in a pre season friendly in Dublin
Plus Wembley Stadium (old and new) 1987,1998,2019 and 202514 -
I have 2 tickets but completely disorganised and don’t have a train booked yet
What is realistically the first train I can get from Chester to London it looks a painful journey home nothing direct, no way I’m driving to this

On our way for a weekend in Chester1
-
Currently on a National Express to Liverpool.
There are another two Charlton fans on here, who are going up but don't have tickets for the game. They seem to be hoping that Wrexham will just let them buy a ticket on the day in the sold out away end (no chance).
They have said that they won't be buying tickets in the home end if that's refused (not that they could anyway) and will just watch the game on TV in a pub in Wrexham. That's not going to be a pleasant atmosphere for them...0 -
I know most will stay in Chester, but is there any away / family friendly pub within walking distance of ground?0

2 of us on the 8.46 from Euston.0

There’s a huge pub with an enormous garden directly outside the ground, which accepts all comers.
UPDATE.
It’s called The Turf Pub.1 -
Yep looking forward to it.1
-
Count me in.
My one and only previous visit to Wrexham was to attend a gig by ex-Can vocalist Damo Suzuki. This consisted of one extended 45 minute jam. This visit should last at least twice as long.

On the 9:02 from Euston, 3 aways this season 3 Defeats , I’ll apologise now .0

Passenger princess courtesy of my cousin, what a touch.
Hopefully a better outcome than last time.1 -

Enjoy Chester - great city ..0

Both times this has come up I thought I might make a weekend of it, but even going from just over the water in Devon takes a ridiculous amount of both time and money.
And I'm at the end of the queue for away tickets anyway so it's kind of a moot point 😆0 -
Was also thinking this but didn't want to say anythingup_the_valley said:
