    Every time watch Carey's goal, I'm still impressed how quick Kaminski got to the celebrations!

    We have to be constantly mindful of how far we have come in such a short space of time. So what if some of the football is not scintilating. It is winning football, but even if it wasn't, it is all about staying up and building. Does than mean we won't make the play offs? We can't know one way or the other. But what we do know is Nathan Jones is doing a terrific job and so are the players to a man. If they have a bad patch we stick with them and if they continue like this we cheer them on. In recent games, we have had to face up to injuries and we are still not losing.

    Apologies if already posted here and I missed it, but this is a decent blog from two WBA fans. 

    Two long interviews with Charlton fans pre-game and they captured the goal celebration too. 

    Interesting to hear they are not a fan of Karlan Grant on and off the pitch, and sounds like Mason's moment as manager could be over soon.

    Great vlog as usual. 

    You'll have to find the bloke with the calm and confident 1-0 prediction - "easy money" - again, as well as little Eliza getting Carey to score right.

    I think this is because he hangs around the half way line for far too long at  times, especially later in games. I get it that he is there to take a pass and recycle the ball if required but it gives me high anxiety levels that he is going to get lobbed one day soon.

    Some of the through balls he played are exactly what the Orient midfield did for Kelman last year to make him such a potent goalscorer. Hopefully we will see that at times this season. 
    Leaburn will also be a beneficiary as, notwithstanding his size, he's better with the ball at his feet.

    Religion often annoys me because of the issues it creates in and between societies, but if an individual becomes a better person through their beliefs then they (and their beliefs e.g no false idols) should be respected.

    Now that Sir David Beckham has gone (like his Mrs) all posh, Sonny Carey can assume the title of 'Golden Balls', it seems he can bang em in from anywhere, given the odd deflection or 2 (as well as being a great clean ball striker)

    We have gone from being the epitome of a team that concedes late late goals, to one that has the priceless asset of scoring late late goals.
    Long may that situation last

    Yes, Bed Wetting is unfair. A far better description would be Classical Conditioning. It is, after all, exactly the same process that that saw Pavlov's dogs drooling at the sound of a bell. For years on end we've been conditioned to expect that every time we get a decent player, they are sold. In many cases, before we've seen them play more than a handful of games. Charlton fans see a young talented player in their team and the conditioned response is to be fearful (or at least, resigned to the fact) that they will be sold pretty quickly.

    Hopefully, now we have a board that is not corrupt, incompetent or broke that will change and we can look forward to seeing the club's talents for, at least, a little longer than we might have in the past. The conditioned links should start to gradually break if the pattern of conditioning is broken, but it won't happen before that. In exactly the same way that we wouldn't blame or judge Pavlov's dogs for drooling, we shouldn't be harsh on Charlton fans who fear the worst. Blame the experimenters, not the subjects of the experiment.
    Good post, and I hope you are right, and that this window starts to break the links with the past in some people’s heads. Although if people can imagine Fullah being sold this window and only shrugging and calling it “a shame” i  wonder if they actually want an ambitious successful  club.
    Gentlemen, perhaps for now, it's better just to enjoy the moments and the days ahead, all I am thinking about is Wrexham away with a fit centre half playing against them, unlike last season.

    When NJ decides to go for the jugular late on, he'll push a defender much further forward - often Jones, but alternating Bree and Gillesphey on the flanks the other night.

    When we're attacking, Kaminski then often positions himself outside his box to play almost a sweeping role.

    I've no doubt it's part of NJs game plan, gambling to nick all 3 points in injury time.

    Went wrong against QPR, trying to get a result but they scored again. NJ has proberly learnt from that

    I don't think it's just at end of games. He really is very careless about getting back to his goal, much more noticeable in the flesh than on tv too (obvs)
