Fullah will overtake Campbell by the new year, kid has something special, despite constant persistence with Campbell, I have never been as excited over him.

Fullah deserves to be on the bench even without injuries to others. That was a class cameo!
There’s an argument for fast tracking him. With these injuries we might need him sooner rather than later.
Loving all these last minute goals!

Feels like Apter and JRC are getting phased out by Jones, so strange such excitment around JRC signing but he has barely played a minute.

Was just thinking this. From what he showed today he should be in and around the first 11 this season

Was absolutely convinced we'd lose one nil after the penalty miss and even a  point would have been disappointing. Its a massive 3 points

Brilliant subs from Jones. Transformed the game. Sonny Carey our main threat most of the game. Really, Leaburn and Campbell were ineffective. Fullah made a big difference when he came on. The match was dire for 80 minutes and magic for the last 10. I’m smiling!
Think that's a bit harsh on Leaburn. His header won the pen but, generally, he got penalised by the ref all night for f* all. He had very little support around him and crosses into the box were pony all night.
The problem with Miles is that he is not mobile enough to create out ball opps like Kelman does. First half our back four and Coventry were desperate for movement up front when they got the ball and it did not come really until Fullah came on.

Absolutely no chance we keep hold of Lloyd Jones in the Jan window at this rate. Prem scouts can't be blind to what he's been doing this season. The bloke is a fucking one man defensive colossus

Think it was a difficult night for both Leaburn and Campbell

The former had to deal with crap long balls, which easily by passed Campbell, Fullah was so much more of an attacking threat compared to Hernandez, who despite a few decent runs, didnt show enough consistency going forward - Fullah / Knibbs came on and we were happier to play on the floor.
In fairness Fullah was playing further forward as Campbell had moved to wing back. I expect Hernandez was conscious of doing defensive duties.

Am I being churlish to say that was a poor game that was saved by a piece of magic. Yes, we all like last minute winners but by God, why do we have to sit through 98 mins of dross first !

Our passing was poor. Our set plays even worse. Have we now decided that our corner routines lie in a low ball to the near post that doesn't best their defender. Bree did it with our first & again with our last. We were only saved by Carey deciding  that he might as well take a punt & buy himself a lottery ticket.

Yes, I should be happy with a win.....and I am. But jeez....that was a hard watch.

Jones was immense, Coventry had a great game. As for Carey, just brilliant at scoring, however for a split second I thought the ball was just going to spin and not go over the line. Bree should have been taken off when he was injured for the free kick.
  • Who wants to break it to them...?

I think his age counts against him, thankfully. Not that he's that old for a centre half but I don't see a prem club taking a punt

Jones is gone soon if he keeps this up. As in Lloyd.

I’d rather have the next cross bar challenge take our pen than Docherty
  • Nathan Jones on Sonny Carey: “He is positive in everything he does. Every pass and shot he makes is forward - or tests something. He has been an absolute revelation and it’s why we’ve brought him to the football club." #cafc

If not for his age I would agree but I think prem scouts want younger players they can mold with sell on value but he could definitely do a job at a lower half prem team.

I have no idea about JRC but there’s a player in Apter. He will get another chance

It only takes a couple of injuries -and they get their chance.

That's what a strong squad is for.

Think it says a lot about this team that can play poorly and still grind out results very resilient.

Apter is sadly, too lightweight for this division and certainly not a wingback, any more than TC is.
