This is what I posted a month ago.golfaddick said:Re PB's........
My comment is more based on what people have been posting these last few days, as well as last month. The returns are falling and it's ok talking about what you've averaged over the year, but that is past history. Look at now, what you've just received & multiply that by 12.
Rates are only going to get worse as interest rates on the whole come down.1 -
£75 each for wife and myself on max.
YTD makes 4.1% so just above average with a month to go.0 -
£150 for me, £200 for the wife.1

Golfaddick for clarification I'm not saying that Premium bonds are the best way to invest your money.
I'm simply posting what I have won.
On a holding of 22ki have won the following.
In 2023 I won £1150
In 2024 I won 425
In 2025 I have won £1425 with one month to go.
So that's twice in the last 3 years I've probably earned more than a cash ISA would have paid me.
I have also got an ISA by the way.
So I'm not disputing your view of premium bonds as you are far more qualified than me on these matters.
I'm simply posting each month what I've won.4 -
£200 this month on a £40k holding. Helps to make up for the £25 last month.
Edit: works out at about 3.9% return for the year gone and 6% for the coming year as per Golfie’s suggestion above re current month prize x 12.

NSI have asked if my contact details are correct, so by implication I might have won a million this month?1

Sorry you haven't won a million as a lady from NSI comes to your house on the last day of the preceding month to break the news to you!Pedro45 said:NSI have asked if my contact details are correct, so by implication I might have won a million this month?
But hopefully they are checking your details for a reason. Good luck!0 -

Sometimes personal experience can be a sound way to make an investment decision. On occasions when I’m in a pub, but have the car my go to zero alcohol beer would be Guinness. Currently only sold in the UK in cans. Also, not widely sold, just because a pub does draft Guinness, doesn’t mean it will do zero in cans. Guinness is the largest selling beer in the UK and Eire, with one in every nine pints in UK sold being Guinness.Currently draught Guinness Zero is rolling out in Eire and a few trial pubs in The UK. DIAGEO state that their intention is to have a Zero draught pump in every location that sells the usual draught Guinness. Diageo shares have spent some time in the doldrums. The highs of £36 in 2022 are gone and a 24% drop in the last year to £17.82 shows their issues. However, I really think the draught Guinness zero could be a real winner in their portfolio and can push them forward. I have taken punt on them and thrown a couple thousand into Diageo.
In no way am I qualified to give financial advice, and know nothing more than the view I have given above. I’m just putting this up as a discussion point or pure interest of others.

Noticed Guinness Foreign Extra Stout brewed in Nigeria being sold in Tesco recently. Certainly wasn’t zero. Had a 7.5 % vol!RaplhMilne said:Sometimes personal experience can be a sound way to make an investment decision.
