    That was the 1980 FA cup final, I was there courtesy of my Gooner dad. A 17 year old Paul Allen was through on goal and Willie Young just scythed him down and if I remember correctly, did not even get booked.

    I used to support West Ham when I was 10 and that’s one of the reasons I still dislike Arsenal.

    I think that might have been one of the incidents that got Jimmy Hill on his high horse about a red card for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity.
