@ 20 quid we could bring okay numbers to this if results have held up. I would say 500 at the low end if we’ve careered down the table up to possibly even as high as 1200 if we still in the play off places is conceivable

Worth the 20 pounds just to watch Jones and how he handles what will come his way from his old club’s fans

Worst away day in the league, so I'm not too sad about missing it.

Never been, but planning on this one. What makes it the worst?

No away pubs other than a harvester, miles from the station and no real town centre.

Don't forget they only run one double decker bus at a time to the station and there's no queuing system in place for it. Takes ages to get back to the station on it.

Last midweek I did there was Feb 98, a surprise 2-1 victory and the start of the most amazing run of 11 wins in 13 games that took us to Wembley. Happy days

I was there too. My mate met a girl in a bar before the game, kept in touch with her and 4 of us stayed at her place when we played Crewe away later in the season. I don't think she was overimpressed when we got back in the early hours, off our tits.

Cheers. In fairness sounds good to me, I love an unlimited salad cart.

I know it'll never happen but they really should try and do more to keep the Tuesday night fixtures fairly local-ish.

On the same night we travel up to Stoke there is:
    Preston away at Watford
    Portsmouth away at Sheffield United
    QPR away at Blackburn
    Sheff Weds away at Millwall
    Ipswich away at Hull

6 fixtures that all involve a long trek for the away side. Surely the midweek fixtures could be more sensibly arranged?

I recall going by train on a freezing January Saturday back in mid 80's. 0-0. It was cold and grim.

I was there, my dad drove and for some reason my mum came as well.

That would involve the  authorities giving a fuck about supporters!

This will be a new ground for me,  don't know why I haven't been,  must've been some strange reasons over the years,  although I did some work there when it first opened 😳

Me too. The old ground was at least close to the station and you'd have thought the city centre, problem being there isn't really a city with a centre.

Would like to go to this as never been to Stoke... But...

    - 3.5 hour car trip either way or
    - Coach leaving at 12.20 meaning half a day off work then getting back at silly o'clock or
    - Train and cab which gets me home about 2am

    It ain't easy!

Anyone know roughly what time the coach would get back to Bromley, I assume about 2am..

Maybe I leave it to next season!

They should try and make the midweek games a limit of 50 miles apart from both grounds.
Also make the fixtures the reverse of each other for ease, I think there are eight midweeks before postponed games.  We can play Watford home and away, likewise with Ipswich and Norwich.

Quite literally a cold windy night in Stoke to come. With a slog of a journey if we lose
