    Everton 1987 I think 2-2 I think we equalised late on.

    Millwall 1988 half way line 2-2 after being 2-0 up they equalised in the last minute.

    Luton 87 0r 88 (No away fans) got beat 5-2 loads of CAFC in the Luton end.

    Was a student living in Brentford and saw us beat them at the home terraced end at griffin park. Loudly went “ohhh NO!” When Johnnie Jackson went down looking very injured. Couple of people’s heads turned and my mate who I went with asked me what I was on about. Managed to play it off.

    Was also in the Jimmy seed watching us beat Chelsea thanks to John Robinson’s soccer school. Saw zola hit the bar right in front of us.

    When I sat down after celebrating our goal a thick Liverpool accent whispered in my ear that it would be sensible if I kept quiet for the rest of the game, which I did. Out of fairness I should also point out that the Lass gave me similar instructions in the other ear!

    Pre-segregation 70s I often preferred to avoid the...ahem..."action", and thus would mingle with more friendly home fans.  More recently have had to keep schtum at Arsenal, Southampton, Pompey, Wimbledon, Oxford, Leeds and probably others ive forgotten about.

    My first ever away game against Middlesbrough in 1983. My Dad took me into the main stand of the home end, as I was only 7 and he wasn’t sure about me being on the away terrace. We lost 3-0 and he had to keep dragging me back into my seat for each goal as I kept getting confused which team I was meant to be supporting.

    Lucky for me, nobody noticed. Probably because it was so cold. 
    Police were videoing our seated section at Port Vale away- maybe 1991.  Someone known to many but never enrolled on here during his lifetime, stood up, dropped his trousers did exactly this for the cameraman. Everyone carried on like nothing had happened :)

    My first away game in London was Chelsea, as a naive 16 yr old in a red and white scarf, younger brother in tow, walked into the shed end. Luckily it was over an hour before kick off and just a couple of sarcy comments before we were led to the away end. Badly signed that away end entrance back then.

    At Chelski , Carling Cup away win on pens in the noughties. Had to sit on my hands for that one. Mate was a season ticket holder for them and got me in the home end.

    Wimbledon's old ground 
    Chelsea in 1982 (with school friends) and also twice in the PL, including the 1 0 win
    Arsenal - Twice at Highbury on a work colleagues mates ST and once at Emirates
    Southampton 3 times in corporate. My wife had a few and jumped up screaming when Iwelumo scored the last minute winner on '07
    Spurs in '87 when we won 1 0
    Luton twice during the ban
    Everton 1988, just about managed to sit on my hands when Mackenzie scored a late equaliser
    Orient in a league cup game in the 90's

    Adams park last season for the playoff, was relatively easy given the result

    Fulham for the 2-2 and QPR for a 0-0 both with mates. Hated every second of it. 
    Also Arsenal for the 4-0 at the Emirates.

    In our 1984/85 (?) promotion year, me and my mate used to sit in the home stands virtually every match. Charlie Vaughn used to give us comps. Same with the following year. Can’t remember there being too hairy moments apart from up at OT when we won 1-0 with a Mark Stuart goal. In those days we never used to hold back on the celebrations either

    Only once, a pre-season game at Millwall back in the day, did I somehow end up near their “Treatment” crew with surgical masks on.

    I’ve never sat in a home end for an away match and never would. Watching the Addicks without being able to shout encouragement or celebrate a goal sounds just awful.

    It feels odd seeing opposition fans in the East Stand spotted a few from Birmingham last season and some Millwall recently. I’d rather watch with Charlton fansthan sit among the opposition. If i didn't get a ticket I'd just watch on Charlton TV or SKY and can enjoy and celebrate (hopefully) I get why some do it, but for me, it would only ever a fraction of the real experience. Its a shame that football fans have to be segrated unlike at cricket or rugby etc but it is what it is.

    I was about to say never, but then realised i'd been to Colchester on a freebie the SCP title winning year. Ive definitely mentioned this on another thread but one of my printers sponsored the match and invited me and my Millwall supporting colleage to the game. It was midweek and we met at midday or something stupid. We were battered by the time it kicked off and my supplier slept through a significant portion of the game. We were in the main stand hospitality (seats in the stand down the side) and presented the MOTM award after. The only thing holding me and my mate up during the presentation was the Colchester goalkeeper who'd won the award lol. Then my supplier wandered off with the MOTM champagne causing the guy on the mic to call him back to give it to the keeper ha! Pretty embarrassing looking back! I think we won 2-0 BWP with both but would have to look that up. I celebrated quite wildly, but surprisingly no one had a pop at us!

    Back in the mid to late 80s I used to go on the Junior Reds trips to away games. We'd often have a match against the home team's junior supporters club before the game, and as far as I can remember we'd be hosted by them in the home areas a lot of the time too. Most memorable ones were 
    • Aston Villa when Leaburn scored that massively deflected goal, because we were actually in an executive box
    • Norwich when Mark Reid got sent off for accidentally decking the ref
    • Luton during the away fan ban, where we were the only away fans officially in there, but quite a few others were noticeable dotted around the ground when we scored.
    • QPR, where we were at the front of the upper tier and someone accidentally knocked a bunch of our stuff off the front wall and down into the lower tier after the final whistle. I don't think it hit anyone luckily enough.
    • Watford and Sheffield Wednesday vaguely ring a bell too.
    The only other time I've sat in the home stands for an away game was when we played Coventry back around then, as my Dad worked with a Coventry fan and he got us tickets.
