Audio being down might be out of Charlton’s control, but that sign is absolutely ridiculous and the colours would suggest it’s our doing too.

This is a pretty old bit of film looking at The Valley decor. Curbs looks a few years younger too.

Have to say this is torture today as someone that uses the Audio Only service. Understand it's out of the club's control but the FOMO is unreal right now!

Ha ha, still got crowd noise. I'd zoned out to the commentary and didn't notice it missing until that bloody great sign came up again.

This is hilarious. Screen blocked by a ridiculous sign and the same bit of audio on loop 😂 Fucking amateur hour

Not only the sound issue but the director of the game must fancy the Hull manager…why do we want to see someone in the crowd returning to their seat, why do they keep doing replays of nothing of note when the game has restarted. Do they know anything about watching a football match? Moan moan moan moan!!

    Honestly right pissed off today.
I only have audio. If they knew there might be problems today why weren't we told?
And what do I get in comp when I probably heard less than 20% of the game?
    I have a yearly pass.

The crowd noise we got in one outage sounded very suspect/generic, as though it was on a loop?

it obviously was on a loop - some spurious generic crowd noise not relating to the game.
Its not acceptable to blame the EFL, saying its their feed - if its not been tested then it shouldnt be used.
Not only did we have spotradic sound, sound out of sync and generic unrelated sound we had crap camera work which seemed to want to spend more time with views on their manager whilst the game is going on.
Oh, and also a message that covered a quarter of the screen !

I thought it was another match at first. I guess someone simply switched it to the kind of generic crowd noise that gets faded in to hide bad language.

They did tell us on the stream that there's potential for audio problems before kick off

They said it there might be problems “momentarily” - just brief outages, not minutes on end. Clearly frustrating for our commentators too.

The most important thing was not losing the picture. The annoying thing for me was that massive apology message. It could have been smaller and showed up and disapeared at 5 minute intervals.

Or had no overlay thus being able to view the action behind it.

And what good is that to me?
If I knew before hand I might have decided to go out for the day & just not bother listening to pretend crowds & some random fella from the Blackburn game.
I don't moan about much when it comes to this service but today was completely unacceptable especially as the club knew it was going to be a problem.

They didn't tell us before they'd taken our money!

Classic comms fail again by the club. Who wants to bet the head of comms (Tom Rubashow) does nothing about either explaining why it occurred or offering compensation.

It certainly is the EFL’s responsibility. Everything from all the games goes through their central studio in Osterley. The big apology board is the exception to that, it was obviously knocked up on the hoof as it became clear the problems were hard to fix.

If you want compensation, ask the EFL for it, and while you are at it, ask them why we had TWO double aways in five games.

  • I didn't enjoy that coverage one little bit aside from our goal. Losing the audio was bad enough but that bloody great sign staying on the screen was incredibly frustrating.
In past weeks I've had another big black box regularly occluding my screen, preaching to me about "racism".
Just stop invading my space with pop ups, and allow me to see what I paid for.

Why was there no problem with the Hull commentary?
