Remember the final day win in the 80s and capitulation at Dundee. Drove to Carlisle that day from my house in Kinross, and recall driving though Edinburgh on my way home the masses of hearts buses with everyone in them looking mighty miserable.se9addick said:
Even if Hearts were five points clear with one match to go I would still have Celtic as favourites to win the title!Chris_from_Sidcup said:Celtic and Rangers both look pretty pathetic right now. In 16 league games, they've won just 6 and only scored 19 goals between them. I can't remember the last time they were both this bad. 1 of them (usually Rangers) have been bad at times, but not both of them.
If Celtic don't improve soon then Hearts might actually be in a title race. They will go 8 points clear if they beat Celtic at Tynecastle next weekend.

Ladies and gentlemen.......we have a title race in Scotland. Hearts look the real deal, Celtic look terrible.
The Celtic centre back Dane Murray must be one of their worst ever players, an absolutely horrendous performance. From what i've seen here, he would struggle to get in a league one team. Surely Celtic have a better option than him?3 -
Hearts been excellent I must say. That said, I am absolutely confident that Celtic will win the league.
Good game though.0 -
Still a long way to go , but even so 8 points is still a big gap.
Come on Hearts0 -
Bring back Ange and give him some money to spend in January.2

Hearts look really decent this year. The front two of Braga and Shankland are a brilliant pairing who compliment one another really well.cafcnick1992 said:Hearts been excellent I must say. That said, I am absolutely confident that Celtic will win the league.
Good game though.Celtic will still win the league by 10 points mind.2 -

I reckon Celtic will still win it, they are not conceding many goals so once they can get on track and put the ball in the net things will resort to type.

They've conceded 7 in their last 3 league games.ElfsborgAddick said:I reckon Celtic will still win it, they are not conceding many goals so once they can get on track and put the ball in the net things will resort to type.2 -
Great result for the Jambos. Would be great for Scottish football if they won it.9

I was looking at the league table and it reads 8, that is where I was coming from.

Once they buy all of the Hearts players in the January window they'll win it.ElfsborgAddick said:I reckon Celtic will still win it, they are not conceding many goals so once they can get on track and put the ball in the net things will resort to type.0 -
I did say the other week that Hearts beating Rangers was a good result for anyone who wants Celtic to lose the title.
Rangers will always raise their game against the Celts , so I suspect they will gain more points against them than they will versus Hearts
The Jambos need to ensure they match Celtic in games against lesser opposition and in the head to heads
Let's hope they can maintain this.1 -
Well done hearts no bitterness here. Good to see the rangers element wishing them well here. Wonder if they were second would they feel the same.
Think this is the beginning of the end for Rodgers. But fans protesting about the tight fisted board isn't helping.

Regardless of whether you are Rangers or Celtic, i don't think anyone can deny it'd be good for the game if someone else won it.Chippycafc said:Well done hearts no bitterness here. Good to see the rangers element wishing them well here. Wonder if they were second would they feel the same.

I still think Celtic will win it purely because they can go and spend in January and are then capable of going on a 15 game winning run, plus you'd expect Hearts will run out of gas in the new year, we've seen it before with Aberdeen last year and Hearts a few years ago that this form is rarely maintained.
On a side note i was talking to a Celtic fan on Saturday, he said if Ange wanted his old job back then he'd sack Rodgers tomorrow (and this was before the Hearts defeat).2 -

What a weird appointment - he's 73 and hasn't managed anywhere in 6 years.Friend Or Defoe said:You mean Martin O'Neil! 😂
Edit - hadn't seen it was only on an interim basis, but still an odd choice.2 -
Nailed on that Ange goes back there surely?0

Some mad stuff coming out from the majority shareholder Dermot Desmond. Basically saying Rodgers was talking shite about how the board wasn't backing him and signing players behind his back. None of it was true and Rodgers was using it to save face.0

Pretty wild statement from Desmond. Hard to believe that Rodgers would've wanted to head into the season with Iheanacho (signed on a free AFTER the window had closed) as his main striker option.siblers said:Some mad stuff coming out from the majority shareholder Dermot Desmond. Also if even half of that statement is true, why didn't they sack him? He resigned.1 -
It would no doubt be refreshing for Scottish football fans to see but another team winning it because the two old firm teams were shit instead of just being comparatively mediocre is not necessarily good for Scottish football. Competition that raises the level of the game is what they need up thereFriend Or Defoe said:Great result for the Jambos. Would be great for Scottish football if they won it.0 -
Has the hallmark of Aberdeen last season I just don’t think hearts will have enough.0
-
I think it's both. Yes Celtic and especially Rangers are currently shit, but Tony Bloom has unquestionably raised the level of Hearts and will likely continue to. He can also potentially shift players there on loan from Brighton and Union Saint-Gilloise who might not be quite ready for those leagues yet.letthegoodtimesroll said:
